The Board members are very dedicated and passionate about TOCA. As volunteers, they work closely with staff to bring wonderful shows to the South Bay. If you have not had the pleasure of attending one of the many performances offered, you are missing a real gem. The theatres are small and intimate and so close to home! We hope to see you soon.
For the last 25 years The Torrance Cultural Arts Foundation has brought season after season of quality live performances to the Southbay community at very affordable ticket prices. Along with their community outreach they sponsor the annual free Southbay Festival of the Arts that draws over 3,500 attendees. The one-day event showcases the best in the fine arts, photography, art museums, live performances on 3 stages, children's workshops, a variety of gourmet food and craft beers. The foundation's work is educating the citizens to the rich diversity of cultural arts experiences available in the South Bay.

The Torrance Cultural Arts Foundation has always brought high quality live performances to the South Bay, no need to travel to Los Angeles or Cerritos to enjoy the Arts. I've never been disappointed and you cannot beat their prices. The Torrance Cultural Arts Center Foundation has exceeded my expectations.....BRAVO!!!
perfect local place for entertainment with wide range of interests and cultures. always friendly staff.
I LOVE! LOVE! LOVE! The Torrance Cultural Arts Center Foundation and it's not because I'm a board member. They have such a diverse line up every season. The opera series, children's shows, guest artists, community shows like "Dancing with the South Bay Stars" and "South Bay's Got Talent", an independent film festival, and the Cabaret Series-intimate setting that (what a great date night!). I've been coming with my family and friends for years. We are so excited when the Season brochure arrives in the mail. This is such a great gem in the middle of Torrance, CA. The people are friendly and the parking is free and plenty.
I love going to the events at Torrance Cultural Arts Center. They provide a wide variety of shows in many disciplines and so inexpensive! From the music (country to classical to cover bands), to the variety shows, to the kids' events, there'ssomething for everyone. I love that I can stay here in the South Bay area of LA instead of the 2 hour drive to dowtown for shows. We have tickets every weekend this month :-)
Great season line-up, always friendly staff and very reasonable prices. Perfect local place to freshen up on culture and entertainment. No need to go any further...
A great organization. TOCA consistently presents quality entertainment at affordable prices in the Torrance community. (And FREE parking!!) Working hand-in-hand with the City of Torrance, the Foundation offers wonderful children's shows. Local children's art company, Art To Grow On Children's Art Center, Inc., allows children to create themed art projects in the lobby of the Armstrong Theatre before and after the performance. There is also a meet-and-greet with the performers for autographs and photos. Super family-friendly and a great way to introduce youngsters to the arts. The Foundation offers diverse programming with something to interest all ages. Their Cabaret series in the smaller venue (the Nakano Theatre) allows for an intimate dining experience before enjoying jazz, blues or pop performances by professional bands/groups in the Los Angeles area. The Foundation is a wonderful organization that respects the arts and their local community. Looking forward to continuing to support them for a long time to come!
The Foundation works closely with the City of Torrance and the Community to bring shows that are attractive to both adults and families. The venues are designed to allow the audience to be a part of each event and walk away feeling fulfilled for the time and money spent. If you have not experienced the Torrance Cultural Arts Center, you should. Visit the website at www.torrancearts.org and check out the season's brochure. Volunteers are also welcome and a great way to get to know the TOCA family...see you at the Theatre.
