I started studying Mussar with TORCH 12 years ago and it has changed my life completely. Rabbi Wolbe energized me to take a greater interest in my character and guided me when I was stuck. Then I added the study of Kabbalah with Rabbi Cohen and this truly spoke to my soul. These topics and this organization are now a necessary part of living for me. I am so grateful for their mastery of the subject and the fun and inspiring way they impart their knowledge.
My husband and I first met Rabbi Wolbe on a trip to Israel. On our return to Houston, we began attending various classes. We have been regular attendees of classes for 10 years now. The Rabbis and their wives are so welcoming and so inspiring with their knowledge of Torah. Torch is special as all Jews are welcome and there is never any judgement as to where you are on your Jewish journey. Recently my husband who converted through the conservative movement 30 years ago, received his orthodox conversion. The Rabbis at Torch were a very important part of his journey. They were there to guide and teach him and to support me, as well. Since we needed to marry again, Torch was amazing and hosted our wedding which was truly beautiful. I continue to study Mussar with Torch and I always leave our sessions, learning something new and being inspired to continue my growth.

Through the persistence and passion of people like Rabbi Wolbe, thank G-d, I am a fully engaged, observant member of Houston's Jewish community. I have been intensely studying advanced Jewish subjects for over 60 years. Despite my years of study, I never attend a class at Torch during which I don't learn something I didn't know. Both Rabbis Wolbe are incredibly knowledgeable and able to clearly discuss their explanations. I feel very blessed to be their student.
The Rabbis are always friendly and accessible. I never feel talked down.
The fact that all classes are free amazes me. The facility is first class. I am happy to contribute to this organization.

The Rabbis and members of TORCH are mor of a Family than a group of people getting together for learning. When I met Rabbi Yaakov Wolbe about 2-1/2 years ago it was an immediate fondness for each other on both our parts. Then meeting Rabbi Aryeh Wolbe it just became a more joyous experience and learning atmosphere. The work, programs, podcasts, etc. that TORCH offers continue use to spread the words of love, kindness and joy and makes one proud to be a member of the Jewish faith. Always remember that our responsibility is to continue to study TORAH and to teach it to others. The Rabbis at TORCH reach out to all sections of the Jewish faith (Orthodox, Conservative, Reform) and continue to spread the word of HaShem. I am very proud to be associated with this center.
