I had an idea to provide housing and support for pregnant women if they would agree to be employees in my house and on my farm; reducing the number of pregnancy abortions in Duluth by providing desirable alternatives. Then I learned about the Star of the North Maternity Home. A project that provides free food, housing, counseling, and support services to pregnant women experiencing "housing instability" (homeless or domestic crisis). I investigated with skepticism, and found the Star of the North Maternity home to be so legitimate that it exceeded my expectations of how good it could be.
