Mission: Together center creates access to human services so people can find help when they need it. Together center is an innovative nonprofit organization that launched its eastside human services campus in 1990 to meet the multiple needs of clients, overcome transportation barriers, and provide the community with a large service mix. Our three-building campus is leased to 18 health, housing and human services organizations expert in developing self-sufficiency and the provision of new housing, food, emergency shelter, medical and dental care, counseling, child care, support for the disabled, mental health services, and much more. In addition, together center provides a range of resources and works collaboratively so families throughout east king county are always able to find help when they need it.
Programs: Low cost nonprofit multi-tenant campus. Together center provides a central, shared low cost facilities and shared services to 18 on-campus nonprofit health and human service and other service providers, which fosters efficient and effective help for individuals seeking help. Management estimates the together center provided over $255,269 in reduced rent to its tenants in 2017.
increasing access to services: together center provides a range of support to people both directly and with program partners. These include free public phones, information and referral services, referral maps and work to create partnerships for the homeless, immigrants and refugees, domestic violence survivors and others. Together center is a major partner in the work of the eastside cultural navigator program.
building partnerships and collaboration to strengthen agency capacities: together center developed partnerships, events and activities to build the capacities of nonprofit agencies through sponsoring events for agencies and the community, sponsorship of the alliance of eastside agencies, and nonprofit training that supports better delivery of services to the community.
