Mission:
Themis Development Group, Ltd. conducts and provides support to international development activities focusing primarily on building sustainable capacities in the governance and education sectors. The international development activities we engage in include, but are not limited to: promoting international human rights objectives, funding, developing and executing governance and education programs; funding infrastructure projects; and any other activities necessary to assist governments achieve sustainable results in the sectors to alleviate the need for continued international support or involvement. We are funded primarily through private donations and rely on the support of a talented team of international experts and volunteers.
Programs: Thisproposal is a Rule of Law sector development project and provides a continuinglegal education program for legal practitioners throughout Afghanistan. The proposed legal training program willenhance the competence and expertise of afghan legal practitioners by providingtechnical assistance on core legal skills, professional ethics, and substantiveareas of Afghan law and basic International humanitarian legal standards. In addition, this legal training will helpprovide better access to fledgling Afghan legal institutions at the Provinciallevels and below through cooperative efforts with USAID and other NGOs
