The Yonkofa Project is one of the most incredible projects I have been able to experience. The passion and hard work that goes into creating the medical facilities and the education they share is something spectacular. The volunteers are the most selfless and down to Earth group and I cannot wait to see how they continue to grow their project. I look forward to continuing to follow their journey.
I have supported the Yonkofa Project for over 12 years and continue to see their sacrifice and time and resources as they work to provide a sustainable healthcare system in Rural Ghana. Not only providing medical care, but equipment, medicine, training, scholarships, helping with clinic infrastructure and so much more. It is not just a calling, but a labor of love.

I have known some of the founders of this charity since it began. It has been terrific to watch the organization grow and complete more new projects.
A non profitable ORGANIZATION that seeks the welfare of the vulnerable, aged, poor, underdeveloped communities, aged, LBTq's and all. May Jehovah Lord richly bless you. I and my community are true beneficiary of this NOBLE Organization.
I came into contact with Yonkofa Project and its CEO, Dr. Gabriella Nanci barely a year ago when my professor and her husband, Prof. Roxane Richter and Mr. Thomas Richter respectively, introduced me to them. it has been a wonderful relationship between this wonderful NGO and our Health Mission (Perissos All Grace).
The organization was able to ship numerous eye equipment, frames and lenses donated by World Missions Possible to us in Ghana to help provide specialist eyecare services to needy and hard to reach communities of Upper East, Ashanti and Volta regions of Ghana. See picture attached.
I had opportunity to see the numerous support they continue to offer Jomoro District and Half Assini Hospital in the Western Region of Ghana and these are magnificent. They donated a Digital Slit Lamp to the eye clinic which I used to examine and managed patients. See picture attached.
They helped revolutionalised my eye surgeries for patients with breathing difficulties by donating Oxygen Concentrators to our surgical team. These provide readily available, safe and portable oxygen for use on these patients perioperatively. See Picture and video attached.
Numerous other supports towards specialist eyecare services and general well being of needy and hard to reach communities of Western, Upper East and Volta Regions are underway. and I can only say that the needy and hard to reach communities of Ghana will heave a sigh of great relief if this wonderful NGO (Yonkofa) and its CEO (Dr. Gabriella Nanci) are supported to continually be in operation.
Thank you so much, Dr. Gabriella Nanci, Kudos Yonkofo Project and God bless the directors, staffs and donors to be always well resourced to do much more good to humanity.
Yonkofa did real changes for the healthcare and changed actual people's life for good. How? Yonkofa is the type of nonprofits that understand and establish the connection between the mission and the root causes. They don't stop at merely providing resources. They see them through till the end. I have heard countless stories of changes Yonkofa has made.

I have been working with the Yonkofa Project over 10 years. Dr. Nanci and her team at Yonkofa has tackled many big public health crisis in Ghana and West Africa despite their limited resources. Their projects not only provide necessary trainings and equipment to clinicians in Africa, also bridge to medical device developers and researchers so that real solutions can be sought for real issues. The Yonkofa Project is one of the best programs that carry decades of real problem solving successes.
YONKOFA PROJECT SUPPORTS ENCHI GOVERNMENT HOSPITAL WITH INCUBATORS AND OTHER MEDICAL EQUIPMENTS ON REGULAR BASIS. MOREOVER THEY BRING FACILITATORS LIKE DR. KENT HEBERT AND WIFE TO TEACH NURSES IN THE HOSPITAL ON AREAS LIKE, BASIC LIFE SUPPORT, HEALTH AND SAFETY, SAFE WORK PRACTICES AND MANY MORE ON YEARLY BASIS.
Moreover
Yonkofa Project and friends of Dr. Nancy Gabriella, supplied sanitary packs with panties, school bags, pens, pencils, books, soaps, oral hygiene packs, dresses, resizable Sandals or shoes and other items to over 20 children in SHELTER HOME ORPHANAGE CENTER - TAKORADI - GHANA in December 2023. The kids were sooo happy
This organization is wonderful!! I traveled with them to help establish an agricultural program at the Presbyterian School!
Over the years, Yonkofa has supported the vulnerable in the society, especially the girl child by donating free reusable menstrual pads to schools and providing medical consumables to hospitals and other health facilities/centres in Jomoro and beyond. I’m so grateful and looking forward to more support.
I am happy to report that the partnership between my outfit and Yonkofa Project INC has yielded desirable results and there has been improved medical support for the people - and that has translated into healthy
physical dispositions for their productive economic ventures.
Potable water from mechanized wells has also been a game changer in our quest to ensure good health among the people. It is significant to note that fourteen (14) wells have been dug by Yonkofa Project over the period of two (2) years in Aowin and nearby constituencies. Only four (4) wells have yet to be fixed with submersible pumps.
NEONATAL INTENSIVE CARE UNIT
One major breakthrough in the year under review was the setting up of this Unit at the Enchi Government Hospital. We are grateful to have received a brand new incubator and monitor, as well as a phototherapy
machine, and look forward to additional equipment to bring the invaluable services to an appreciable standard.
NEW CLINICS
The partnership also recorded the recent installation of a new container clinic at Kramokrom. The container, on arrival, was stuffed with a variety of medical equipment, consumables such as gloves, syringes and drugs. There were quantities of wheel chairs and delivery beds, all of which have been distributed to the various facilities within the Municipality. Asuoklo, Limonkrom and Camp 4 CHPS Compounds are progressing
steadily with increase in patient attendants. We are looking forward to the hand-over of the Musah Nkwanta and other CHPS to the Health Service as soon as possible.
EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT
The partnership has also brought to the fore a scholarship award to two nurses who are pursuing programmes at accredited nursing institutions in Ghana. The students have been bonded to serve in the District for a minimum period of three years upon conclusion of their courses.
In conclusion, it is gratifying to note that our collaboration to improve the health care needs of the people has been very successful. CHPS points are now closer to the people thereby relieving the immense pressure on the Municipal Hospital at Enchi. In addition to that, the awareness has been created for the sick to offer themselves for immediate medical attention within their environment to attend to their health care needs. My outfit is very grateful to Yonkofa Project INC. for a perfect partnership.

I have worked with Yonkofa project for 10 years shipping medical supplies to West Africa. It is a great organization.
Dr. Martin and her team doing an amazing work in Rural Ghana. It’s an honor to be a participant. Great cause to participate and support the group. Their efforts is indeed appreciated.
Dr. Martin and the Yonkofa project is an amazing charity. They do so much to help others and I am so happy to be a part of this organization.
I first became a supporter for this charity because of my love, respect and trust for Dr. Martin. Over the last few years I have been amazed at how much has been accomplished by providing healthcare, wells, and education to unreached people in Ghana. The lives that have been saved and improved have far exceeded anything I could have imagined. This past year has highlighted NICU equipment, which is a cause near to my heart. Wherever there is a need, this group finds a way to get it done. Yonkofa is definitely worthy of your time and financial support!
I'm part of a group of craftivists who sew reusable menstrual pads in sustainable kits for the Keep Girls in School campaign within the Yonkofa Project. It is so rewarding to see the faces of these young girls when they receive their kits, distributed by volunteers in the schools in rural Western Ghana. I'm grateful to be a small part of a group that's making a big difference. We are always looking for folks who like to sew who can join us in our work.
The Yonkofa Project does so many amazing things in Ghana. Their Keeping Girls in School Campaign is amazing and so appreciated. The mini clinics have an unmeasurable impact of the communities that are unable to make it to the hospitals due to location. The Yonkofa Project not only supports, but educates, so the community can continue to grow when they leave. Truly an amazing non-profit.
Gabriella and the other volunteers are an incredible resource for the people of Ghana, I'm continually impressed with increasing scope and reach this program produces year after year.
Since early 2021, I have been part of a group of volunteer seamstresses who partner with The Yonkofa Project for The Keep Girls In School Campaign to help provide reusable cloth menstrual pads to junior high school girls in rural western Ghana. According to UNICEF, 95% of girls in this region miss school the week of their period due to lack of access to period products and many drop out all together. While The Yonkofa Project is responsible for a variety of humanitarian aid in this region, I am most familiar with their work to distribute these menstrual hygiene kits in rural middle schools, which helps maintain educational equity, and reduces the burden for girls receiving an education. The issues of in-country economics, inflation, and "luxury taxes on feminine hygiene" aren't within the scope of most nonprofits to tackle, but the Yonkofa Project is providing girls with these quality-built kits that will address their hygiene needs, and allow them to avoid missing a week of school every month through the three years of their junior high school education. By being able to stay in school, girls will not fall behind in their learning, and are more able to achieve their dreams of quality employment after receiving a complete education.
I recently attended a fundraising event for this organization, and was so impressed with the information that I received about all the OTHER humanitarian aid they are facilitating in rural Western Ghana. The Yonkofa Project is doing such vital work with medical personnel working on a shoestring budget, providing care, clean water, rural medical clinics, education, and hope.
(Photo is of the Keep Girls In School display at the recent Yonkofa Celebration, showing the stages of construction of the reusable menstrual pads, the specialty materials used, and the completed kit that is presented to each girl, consisting of a drawstring backpack, 4 snap-on menstrual pads of various absorbencies, two pairs of underwear, a wet-bag for soiled-pad storage and cleaning, and a cotton-crocheted soap sack containing a bar of soap. )
My wife & I recently attended an event for Yonkofa. Aside from having a wonderful time, it was very educational. The amount of generosity from all volunteers is unbelievable! I applaud Yonkofa for its caring and concern.
The Yonkofa Project is an amazing organization that works in aiding children in Ghana. They truly believe in the mission of bringing health care to rural Ghana. They work to bring together volunteers to better there lives of so many who do not have the medical resources available or even clean water and basic life support. I highly recommend supporting the cause of the Yonkofa project.

Last night I was so happy to be able to gift "The Yonkofa Project" event with two bears in order to raise money for their incredible Ghana medical outreach. To hear what this organization does for the people of Ghana was beyond what I could have imagined. I could try to explain what they do or share the needs of the people but, I would do them a grave disservice. Please look into this organization yourselves and be amazed!
I have been asked to do the bears again next year!! I am pleased they were happy with the donation they received for the bears! I was beyond pleased!!! I look forward to being a part of their next event!
Also, I was looking for something I could do with sewing to "give back". I asked for a kit to familiarize myself with panty liners for middle school girls in Ghana in order to insure their being able to go through middle school, high school and into college.
Yonkofa runs a very fiscally responsible NGO in Ghana. The local commitment from the NGO is so admirable!
I have traveled to Ghana to work on clinics and been amazed at the commitment level of both the U.S. and Ghanaian volunteers. I also worked on converting this cargo container into a clinic before it was filled with medical supplies and shipped to Ghana. Now it is there, serving as a Tiny Clinic in a rural village.
Amazing organization. I have been a small part of The Yonkofa Project and have had the opportunity to visit Ghana and see some of the great work they are doing firsthand. Not only is the Yonkofa Project shipping full containers of medical supplies, they are also setting up multiple solar powered OBGYN Clinics in the villages around Enchi, Ghana. It is great to see an organization put so much though and effort into setting up projects properly. When I visited Ghana they were in the process of drilling wells and putting in storage tanks so the clinics will not have to worry about clean water and can offer the best medical care possible in these remote locations. Just one of the many ways The Yonkofa Project has gone above and beyond to provide the people of Ghana medical care. Great nonprofit!
I have been a supporter for many years and our family often attends their Atlanta event to get updates on Yonkofa's remarkable progress building clinics in Ghana, and shipping medical supplies to West African countries. These last couple years, the cargo containers have been finished inside, so they can be converted to Tiny Clinics! Some of my friends and family have worked on these conversions.
Yonkofa’s work is amazing! Supporting an organization that is transparent and showing us the difference we can all make together is very moving. I hope that each year they can grow more.
I have been volunteering with The Yonkofa Project for over 5 years. The work they have done to bring small medical clinics, training to the clinic staff, and donations of equipment and medication has helped save lives in the rural areas of Ghana.
When I started volunteering there was 1 completed clinic, and they were beginning the 2nd. That was five years into the plan. Now 10 years into the plan they have 7 clinics and 2 more waiting to go up.
The impact on the rural areas of Ghana is amazing. Healthy babies are being delivered in clinics. Children are being treated for simple childhood illnesses that could have been fatal in those tiny villages. Villages are being taught skills to help them earn a living. I am so proud to be a part of this group. Join us in donating to our Project if you can. We'd love to have you!!

This organization has helped the people of Ghana with their medical needs and shown them love and care for over 5 years now. They're a wonderful group of people who are helping those who have so little. It's been great to see the progress of the clinics that they've built, and how it's helped in so many ways!
The amazing work of The Yonkofa Project focuses on getting resources to medical professionals and knowledge into the minds of people in Ghana. Yonkofa is helping Ghanaians to provide more effective health care and making it possible for people to work and improve their lives. The people of the Tonkofa Project have great integrity, collaborating endlessly. I highly recommend The Yonkofa Project.
Despite the pandemic and the shipping difficulties, the Yonkofa Project has been able to continue building more clinics. Supplies were sent to the Philippines, and Gambia as well as Ghana. In Ghana the Yonkofa Project helped supply clinics and hospitals with PPE. They are true to their mission.
This charity builds clinics and donates medical supplies, mostly in Ghana. The main focus is helping Ghanaian medical providers so they can better serve their communities. They have also started a lecture series to help train medical providers. I have been supporting Yonkofa for several years, and enjoy seeing all their accomplishments.
My husband, Dr. Kent Herbert and I recently had the honor to volunteer with The Yonkofa Project on a recent mission trip to Ghana and see how this charity serves in person on the ground in rural Western Ghana. It was truly inspiring to see this in person, up close. We were able to see first hand how the donations and supplies are used and how truly valuable they are to the communities that receive them. Each nurse, midwife, PA, doctor, administrator, villager we had the honor to encounter was grateful beyond measure for The Yonkofa Project's presence in Ghana.
What Dr. Gabriella Nanci has done in Ghana and the relationships she has built over there is truly inspiring and is saving lives. One can rest assured that every dollar donated and every supply given is put to good use. Not only do they provide the physical buildings, the supplies, resources needed for a self sustaining clinic, The Yonkofa Project is providing educational tools and training to the medical personnel at these facilities which is invaluable. My husband had the honor to provide medical education to to over 100 nurses, midwives, PAs and prescribers during this visit and they will take that training to their clinics and hospitals to provide updated care on topics like Stroke, CPR and Covid-19 (among others) to hopefully improve outcomes, prevent disease and save lives.
We can not thank The Yonkofa Project enough for what thy are doing, how they are a good steward of the resources they are given and how much of an honor it is to be affiliated with a group that offers such goodwill globally and has such a good reputation in the areas they serve. Anyone considering a relationship with The Yonkofa Project can rest assured that their donation is in good hands: I've seen it in action in Ghana.
Disclosures: This was our first, but certainly not our last trip to Ghana. I was introduced to The Yonkofa Project via a mutual friend in 3/21 and I have no prior personal relationship with Dr. Gabriella Nanci, President of The Yonkofa Project who travelled with us or any Board Member.
I have contributed to this organization for the last 10 years. It is great to see how much they can do with your contributions.
Glad to have helped Yonkofa open their third clinic in Kordjour Ghana! This charity brings medical care to the most rural areas...often only accessible from rough dirt roads. Most people would be dissuaded by the logistic challenges, but Yonkofa knows those challenges are exactly why these villages need a Yonkofa clinic!
Yonkofa is building medical clinics in rural Ghana, and thereby bringing much needed healthcare to some of the world’s most neglected. The leaders of this organization give their precious time and had earned money to make this organization successful , and take nothing back but satisfaction.
The Yonkofa clinics are making a huge difference to the rural communities they serve. The third one is on the worst, mountainous, rutted, dirt-road ever. Nobody would have built a clinic there, except Yonkofa. This is truly providing health care where it would otherwise not be available.
I have never seen such hard working people. The people have such a hard working attitude. They are very delicate. Great to know such wonderful people. Robert Smith
International assistance projects only thrive if they nurture local ownership. This is where Yonkofa excels and is one reason they've been so successful.
The Yonkofa Project builds medical clinics in Western Ghana, bringing local knowledge and citizen engagement into every aspect of the work. This ensures that communities become personally invested in the success of programs, plans, and policies. The District Chief in the Aowin region of Ghana described the relationship this way: "Our offices helped supervise supervise the instillation of electric lines brought up the hill and lighting the way to the Yonkofa Clinic. And we helped build the pipeline necessary to bring Yonkofa’s well water down the hill to the village below. We have collaborated on the disabled occupational training center, which will be built next to the clinic. We look forward to future projects, education, sanitation, and health-care services, knowing that the friendship is deep and sincere, the commitment is long-term, and the result will be sustained healthcare delivery for the people of the Western district."
I support Yonkofa because their approach is compassionate, respectful, successful. and sustainable.
The Yonkofa Project gives so many people access to medical care who never had it before. Everyone involved has a huge heart and works hard to be a good steward of every dollar donated. Good work!
Something we take for granted is health care. Seeing what it takes behind the scenes to keep this organization moving forward is the true gift. Outstanding organization!
The Yonkofa Project is an amazingly well-run charity. All donations are used to develop medical clinics in rural Ghana. Little to no medical care exists in these areas of the country so mothers and children receive insufficient treatment for basic injuries and illnesses. The over-arching goal of the non-profit is to open a new clinic every year in a different area. The Yonkofa Project is financially well run by volunteers who devote their time, and money, to creating a means for delivering basic medical care to these rural Ghanaians.
I have had the pleasure of working with The Yonkofa Project for the last few years and find it hard to put into words just how amazing this group is! Bringing healthcare to some of the hardest to reach areas of the Western Region of Ghana is their goal. They accomplish this in so many ways. It is truly a charity that focuses on helping the community help themselves, not just putting on a band-aid and leaving. Every dollar goes towards supplies, buildings, infrastructure, and education.
I found out about yonkofa by chance helping a neighbor move closer to family. What I have learned is it is a charity that not only first and foremost bring healthcare to people in Ghana they also help in many other ways such help making sure the books that are donated make it to where they need to go so that they can finally have a library in enchi ! The people I have met continue to amaze me with the endless ways they are helping many people who . need healthcare and to be able to read books when they like. If you want amazing charity to donate to where they make everything they are given count and they do exactly what they tell you check it out look on Facebook or Goole it i think you will find it is the best one I have seen! The clinic for the people of Ghana is most important but Yonkofa does so much more to go with that.
I have donated to this charity as I believe in building sustainable healthcare communities. This is the best model to ensure permanence and ensure excellence.

Yonkofa is non profit organization in Enchi the western North part of Ghana. With the help of this organization health care is getting close to people. A lot of lives have been save by Yonkofa
I went on an early trip with Yonkofa Project. It was clear that members of the project were making deep and meaningful relationships, and looking for ways to properly serve the communities we were visiting, not just to get Facebook profile pics. It was immediately clear that we were helping to fill a void, and that we were doing it alongside local Ghanaians gave us a great perspective of the people, the country, and some of their thoughts on our presence. I would recommend Yonkofa Project to anyone looking to volunteer time or money to medical projects in West Africa.
The Yonkofa Project uses all donations plus their own money to establish medical clinics in rural Ghana that provide care previously unavailable in those areas. This is a great organization to support if you want to save lives that are threatened by simple infections and preventable diseases. The impact of these clinics on the villages and the surrounding areas cannot be overstated. Fresh, clean water for the clinic results in clean water for the town, and greatly reduced water- borne diseases. THIS is a charity we can all support.
Over the years since I’ve met the sweet and hard working person behind this project I have seen a lot of accomplishments in this organization and their hard work to succeed in what they are getting done and that’s why I do not hesitate in donating every year . Yonofa believes deeply what it stands for and you want be disappointed in helping them out or even go help as a volunteer to see with your own eyes the huge difference they have made for the people in Ghana with their health issues that they struggle with each day. There’s a lot of hard working people that has already made a difference and they continue to do today .
This is such a responsible and practical organization through which to give charitably. Every penny is stretched using the the services of generous community and international volunteers, making each dollar go a long way toward building clinics that will make a difference in the lives of those they serve. Simple, smart fixes for real-world problems.
The Yonkafa Project is a remarkable, award-winning organization. The team has figured out how to deliver effective health care to countless people in rural Ghana. The model is working and your support will help the organization scale.
We chose The Yonkofa Project as our team project to support. The ability to see the results with services is important to us and this organization delivers. I encourage others to support this organization to continue their success and growth.
Watching the clinic grow so much and services for so many in Ghana, I'm proud we are a sponsor where we can see such progress. Keep it up!
I’ve been following the work of Yonkofa for 5 years. They have integrity and vision. The work they do is vital and the progress they’ve made is amazing!
I have a professional relationship with the organization and have been impressed to see its growth and the good work it is doing providing basic health care to those who desperately need it!
