Mission: Spectrum Center, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, has been a leader in providing special education services to the San Francisco Bay Area since 1975. An advocate for families with children with disabilities founded our program twenty-five years ago as an alternative for students whose disabilities prevented them from attending public school. Prior to Spectrum Center, many of these students were placed in large institutions.
What began in 1975 as a six-student classroom in Berkeley has grown into a multi-service agency providing educational services to over 500 students across the San Francisco Bay Area. We are dedicated to improving the educational and behavioral performance of students and schools. We have repeatedly demonstrated that all children can succeed.
