Gives a whole new meaning to the term bully! My special needs daughter was on the receiving end of the owner's tantrum, using vulgarity directed entirely towards her (I would go into depth as to the statement he made, but that would be against the posted guidelines for this site). When confronted, he made excuses, but refused to apologize to my daughter, stating that he couldn't because he has brain damage, yet he had no problem in belittling a child!

What kind of monster is this? If he is willing to unleash his anger on a special needs child, what would he do to a bird that was perhaps having a bad day? Horrible man - and his actions make him deplorable. Needs to be shut down!

I have been a volunteer and donor to Wilson Parrot Foundation for almost seven years. This organization fills a gap not addressed by most animal welfare organizations--the need to care for the thousands of abused, neglected, and/or abandoned parrots in this country. Brian Wilson, the founder of this organization, despite a traumatic head injury that left him paralyzed on one half of his body, uses his own resources and those of much needed donations to take in birds, many of whom are very traumatized and care for them so they can have permanent homes. Brian also educates people about fire and gun safety using the birds and takes the birds to veterans hospitals and other places where ill, aging, and injured people can be cheered up and comforted. You can also contribute and Brian will bring the birds to special events. I love this organization and am proud to be associated with it. Please help Brian by volunteering and/or contributing.

The Wilson Parrot Foundation: rescues, rehabilitates and rehomes parrots that have been abandoned, abused or their owners can no longer take care of them. The birds are not caged and are free to roam the house. We do not breed or sell the birds. Some can be adopted, when our strict guidelines are met. WPF is a 100% volunteer operation and 100% of all donations go toward the care of our residents. Everyone is welcome to visit the Foundation and meet our flock. It is suggest that you call first, so that, someone will be there to give you a tour. (301 368-3200). To learn more about us, visit our web page (wilsonparrotfoundation.org)
