Causes: Arts & Culture
Mission: The walls is a collective of artists, business leaders, and community volunteers dedicated to stimulating the creative arts economy movement here in louisiana. We are doing so by delivering public artworks that inspire urban and rural beautification, dialogue, and unity. In the recent decades the proliferation of large-scale murals across the globe has made it clear that public art is becoming one of most prolific cultural voices of the 21st century. Through our murals, sculptures, and digital installations the walls project will continue to use visual storytelling by creating art that inspires, educates, and creates an artistic sense of place in communities where we work. To date all 15 of our murals have involved artists from or living here in louisiana and juried selected by a board of their peers.
Programs: The futures fund
