The Walk for Mental Health Awareness - Houston is a community-based event to raise awareness and funding for Harris County non-profit agencies and programs that provide mental health services. It's also a powerfully purpose-driven platform for creating and promoting POSITIVE PUBLIC DIALOGUE about mental illness, helping to #EndTheStigma surrounding something so commonplace in our society that it is impossible to avoid any longer!

I have participated in the Walk Houston 5K and Mental Health EXPO for the past 3 years. It is a great learning experience where one could obtain vauleable information. It's a great family event with a children's corner and pup tent where on can enjoy with their little burry babies (doggies). The staff and volunteers are friendly and helpful. It's an overall amazing educational, family friendly, great cause event to attend in Houston. By supporting The Walk Houston you are supporting mental health awareness, the Walk Houston, and over 10 other great mental health nonprofit organizations in the greater Houston area.
