I have been the Village Network teacher at the middle school for a year and a half. What an awesome opportunity to work with individual students and small groups providing hands on, academic learning in a truly caring environment.

The Village Network is an asset to the Wayne County area. I am aware of multiple cases of community youth not finding success in a traditional academic environment but were able to attend and GRADUATE from TVN's educational program. Without TVN, these students would not have graduate and likely have been a drain on the welfare system. TVN stuck by these kids when everyone else had given up. These students now have the opportunity to break the welfare cycle in their families.

We believe the Village is so important to the youth in our area that we feel strongly in volunteering our time and working to raise funds for them. The understand how to utilize all funds that come their way in a efficient and effective manner. The work they do is priceless in the lives of the young people who come through their program.

I have been involved with TVN for more than 40 years. It is a excellent organization with skilled staff and appreciative clients and families. It has earned the support of the communities it serves by its willingness to work with local entities as partners and to develop programs which meet the needs of clients.

The Village Network has been able to sustain itself because they provide excellent care, are constantly looking for ways to use their limited resources wisely, and are willing to change their processes to fit the needs of their clientle in an ever changing world of budget cuts and unfunded mandates.

The Village Network is the only non-profit that I have been involved with that is truly focused on it's mission and the continual evolution of it. And the programs that exist to fulfill the mission are under strict financial scrutiny. This is a a non-profit with management that measures and understands the financial impacts of their decisions and takes action when and where appropriate to maintain the financial strength of the organization.

I have worked for many organizations over the years, but The Village Network exceeds in the quality of services that are provided. The Administrators and Staff are committed to improving the lives and future of children and families and do so by staying current in available treatment options, quality programming, and hiring staff who are committed to the youth that are in care.

I have been associated with The Village Network (TVN) for a number of years as a member of its Corporation Board and, more recently, as the Chair of its Governing Board. More than any other social service organization with which I am acquainted, TVN is truly mission and vision driven. It strives to provide its clients with best treatment practices in an environment of respect and care for those whom it serves. Both Board and staff exhibit a care and concern for clients that is evident to those who regularly visit or interact with the agency and to the community at large.

The Village Network (TVN) is a wonderful child-serving organization. Staff members are truly concerned about the welfare and future of each youth in their care. Parents desperate for assistance with their troubled youth often look to the professionalism and expertise of TVN staff for advice and guidance.

I remember meeting one particular youth upon his admittance to The Village Network. He was angry, scared and didn’t trust anyone. He was sure that staff were there to make his life unbearable. After only a couple months, I met him again. There was a light that radiated from him. He smiled and was truly happy. He trusted his counselors and others who rallied to support him. He had made a complete turnaround and was on the path to success. His grades were better than ever, he had a positive outlook and was excited about his future and the prospect of being the first in his family to attend college.

I am happy that The Village Network exists to assist youths in turning their lives around and gaining confidence in themselves and others. I am proud to have them in my community.

As an administrative director of the Ariel Foundation I have toured and been in contact with the local Village Network in Mt. Vernon, Ohio. We gave two grants to this deserving organization in 2010. This wonderful facility and the dedicated people that work inside give a home with loving care while teaching life skills to children that otherwise would "fall through the cracks" with nowhere else to live. We are proud to be a donor of the Village Network of Mt. Vernon and play a small part in building lives and forming future productive citizens in these children.

I have done contract work as a nurse with The Village Network for about 10 years in a variety of locations. The Village staff is competent and caring. They provide a wide range of services for kids with emotional and/or behavioral needs. The kids seem to respond well to the treatment strategies giving them the support they need in thier formative years. I can honestly say that I have never overheard staff saying they hate thier job. This can be a challenge some days when youth are having issues and acting out. It shows that the employees actually care for the kids through thick and thin.

The Village Network is a wonderful organization that repeatedly demonstrates commitment, care, and concern for adolescents and their families. They strive to provide mental health and behavioral services to community youth as well as youth from other areas of Ohio. I was working with a youth that was struggling in a traditional learning environment. I contacted TVN and they were able to place my client in the on-site educational program. My client has achieved better attendance and grades as a result of TVN. The people that work for The Village Network are passionate and dedicated to the youth of today. Their approach is ever-changing to meet the myriad of needs presented to the multifaceted team of professionals. The Village Network is a vital part of the success of the at-risk youth of Wayne and surrounding counties. Kudos to The Village Network

I work in a school district that has an alternative program. There are times when we just don't have enough to serve the needs of the student population that we serve. For the male population, we have had to utilize the Village Network in order to find success not only for the student, but their family as well. They have that extra super structure that we just cannot offer. If it wasn't for the available staff and resources that they have, I feel there would be a lot of lost students who later in life would suffer the consequences of poor choices during their adolescence. It isn't until later and with maturity that most students realize the positive impact the program has on their life. I hope that the Village Network never goes away.

I have worked with the Village Network in Wooster, Ohio as a higher education mentor for students transitioning to college. The staff at the VN are concerned and dedicated to assisting youth. A mentor training and support group has been formed by VN staff and formalizes the efforts to better serve residents.

I highly value the experiences that I have had with the Village Network.

I have had the opportunity of meeting a significant number of the Village Network Staff. They are extremely dedicated to the mission of the Village Network which is to promote responsible living and positive change in troubled children through partnerships with families and communities. Jim Miller, the CEO , not only has a good understanding of the services they deliver, has a real understanding of the financial end of the business, and because of his tremendous passion for the kids, it has permeated the entire organization.
In the last two years when other organizations similar to the Village Network have suffered financially or even closed, the Village Network has remained strong financially.

depending on the statistics you use, in the US, there are approximately9-11 million insedentces fo Child abuse annually. And appropximatley 30% fo those victums will grow up to abuse theri own children.

TVN helps break the cylce of child abuse by helping abused children gain the treatemtn required to build self confidence, self worth, respect for authority, and gain the skills to grow into responsible citizens.

TVN's treatemtn programs are 85- 95% effective adn tehy treat nearly 550 children daily throughout Ohio.

I have worked for The Village Network for the last eighteen years. During this period of time, I have seen many foster children given a safe home, shelter, love, caring, and counseling. They have had experiences that they never had in their bio home. They have gone to the zoo, movies, football and baseball games, and participated in many community activities some of them for the first time. Many of the staff and the foster parents have contributed to the children by paying for their prom and Senior pictures. Encouraging them to continue in their education. Helping them learn independpendent living skills.
The Village Network cares.

I have had the privilage of meeting The executive team and many of the day-to-day professionals at TVN and they are all extremely motivated and committed to their vision of providing excellent treatment and care of troubled youth. I have seen first hand how they have positively impacted the lives of young people. Many of these kids would end up in jail or in more serious trouble than they already are were it not for TVN and their fine team of committed professionals. I have heard first-hand from several of their youth how TVN has helped turn their lives around. Kudos to everyone at TVN for the excellent job they do every day helping troubled youth.
