Programs: Our programs and services are as follows:
Child and Family Support programs:
- Foster Care-provides safe, loving homes for children brought into foster care because of abuse, neglect or other special needs. Our services include therapeutic foster care for those whose needs cannot be met in regular foster homes.
- Healthy Families and Resource Mothers -helps ensure healthy babies, successful parenting, and optimal early childhood development
- PAT(Parents As Teachers)-assists parents of young children in developing parenting skills
- Families and Schools Together (FAST)-involves parents and students in a school-based program that helps prevent family violence, substance abuse, delinquency and school failure in elementary school aged children.
- Creating Lasting Families-another school-based program that helps prevent abuse of tobacco, alcohol, and drugs
- Team Up-provides volunteer mentors for youths ages 6-17
Family Crisis Intervention:
- Violence Prevention programs-teach alternatives to violent behavior as well as providing court-ordered intervention services.
-Drug & Alcohol Abuse-provides services to individuals and families contending with substance abuse issues
- Family Preservation Program-provides multiple services to families with abuse and/or neglect issues
- Home Study-assists judges when making decisions in disputed custody cases
- For Children?s Sake-supports separating and divorcing parents to help them with their parenting responsibilities
- Visitation Services-provides supervised visitation and parenting seminars to encourage safe, healthy contact between parents and children in cases of divorce or family violence.
Counseling Services:
- Outpatient Services -counseling for individuals and families on a sliding fee scale.
- Play Therapy-allows children to ?play out? feelings to help them deal with difficult situations - At-Risk Youth Services-provides in home services and other programs for at-risk youths and their families.
- Group Therapy-groups providing support for specific issues
-Employee Assistance Program-counseling services available for companies
-Community Crisis Management-counsels victims following a crime or community tragedy
Programs For Those With Disabilities:
- Family Life- provides caring, family homes for adults with intellectual disabilities
- Camp Horizon-offers a summer recreational program for children and adults with disabilities
- Representative Payee & Legal Custodian Services-provides direct money management for adults with disabilities
- Students? Best Friend-uses a trained facility dog to help special education students
-Therapeutic Recreation Consultation-helps clients discover and engage in meaningful leisure activities
Financial Services:
-Financial Education-provides debt management information
- Housing Counseling-provides comprehensive counseling to help low-income families acquire a first home, seniors to qualify for a reverse mortgage, and other homeowners to avoid foreclosure.
Senior Support
- Body Recall-gentle exercise class for seniors
- Care Check Service-provides financial management services for anyone having difficulty paying bills or overseeing finances
- Guardianship-helps individuals who are incapable of making decisions on their own
Military Support
-Counseling-offers free counseling to recent veterans and current military families
- Financial Management-helps any military personnel having trouble managing finances, especially during deployment
