I was in need of an accessible vehicle to transport myself in my power wheelchair... THE TIME IS NOW came through- far above and beyond my dreams!! The men stuck with me until issues were resolved, they never gave up on me, and all is great now. I am able to transport myself to and from medical appointments and social outings!!! Thanks and much appreciation Sal and Shawn!!!
I cannot put into words how grateful I am from the help I received from Sal w The Time Is Now to Help. I had no idea that a co-worker- friend (another Saint ) wrote a letter to Sal, on my behalf because she knew that I was struggling & stressing about losing my home that I worked so hard for. I just watched the video Sal made about why he choose to make helping people his mission & it again brought tears to my eyes, because my story is the same as his mothers, I raised my 3 children on my own with no child support ever. When I left my husband, my youngest son was two years old & my daughters were 5 & 6 years old. A friend picked us up from the home we were in, she came in a van & myself, my 3 children & whatever cloths we could fit into the van & she took us into her home which was 3 states away & she had 4 children of her own. I had no vehicle & I walked a mile to work everyday @ Subway until I saved enough money to buy a used car. I then saved enough money to get my 1st apartment. I worked at fast food places & was barely able to pay rent & bills, but, somehow, God-willing, I stretched every penny & we got by. Fast-forward to today, I now have the best job I have ever had, I manage low-income housing apartments, which at the time I left my husband, I never even knew there was any such thing as low income apartments/housing so I always paid full rent sometimes only making $8. an hour. So, I very much understand how it is to struggle & my job allows me to help so many people with affordable housing & guiding them in the right direction to receive services that they may benefit from. Even though I have a good job, I still live paycheck to paycheck & my vehicle broke down, the motor went out I needed a new car to get to work, I still owed money on that vehicle. My brothers friend had a van that he agreed to sell me. Meanwhile, The stress of everything, falling behind on the mortgage, trying to do a loan modification on the house & it was denied a couple times, everything spiraled out of control. Sal helped me pay the remainder of what I owed my brothers friend for the van & then he paid for the van to be looked at & fixed to where it was safe & reliable. He helped me with paying my utility bill & gave me gas cards. I was & still am in shock that I received this help from a complete stranger. I am beyond humbled & more grateful than any words can say. I thank God always for each & every blessing & Sal is certainly on the top of the list.
I donate to "The Time to Help is Now" Sal's organization. I follow his work in my local newspaper, saw the interview on CNN & read the honor awarded to him my the Real Estate Organ. He helps so many people in need with no other place to go. God bless Sal and his helpers.
Sal and his band of angels are the real deal. The work he does is straight from his heart; he heals not only with money, but with food, clothing, furniture, vehicles, and most importantly, friendship. I don't support a lot of community organizations, but Sal and The Time is Now to Help is at the top of my list and I send them as much as I can whenever I can because every cent goes to helping those who cannot help themselves at this point in their lives.
Time Is Now To Help has made it possible for my granddaughter to get medical care, therapy and the help she needed. She has Autism and other behavior problems. I have been her legal guardian since birth, she just turned 6yr old. I needed reliable transportation & living in Walworth Cty made it difficult to get to ALL her appointments in the Milwaukee/ Waukesha area. With the help of Sal, my granddaughter has made great improvements. Her doctors and teachers have notice drastic changes. When they ask what I think has been a factor in her progress.... without hesitation I say The Time Is Now. There is absolutely nothing worse than not being able to give your children/granddaughter basic necessities because of poverty. I will be forever grateful.
This is a wonderful charity and it is and has been recognized by numerous charitable organizations with matching grants since it's inception. I know that every penny I donate to this cause is going to help people in our corner of the world and it is not going to administrative costs. Sal Dimiceli and his family work tirelessly 365 days a year helping everyone they have the resources to help, with Sal digging in his own pockets when necessary to do what needs to be done. This charity is an incredible asset to the people and I am proud to know that it is a charity I can feel safe in donating to that it will be used for the good, and many times my money will do double duty as they are recognized with matching grants!
I love that this charity gives 100% back into the community. Sal takes an active role in these people’s lives personally. He works tirelessly and constantly in the service of others in every aspect of his life.
A few years back When the economy was hit hard, I was out of work and would have ended up homeless. At the time I was a single mom with 2 children in the home. I was blown away by the generosity. I thank God for this ministry.
My husband and I regularly donate to "The Time Is Now to Help". The work that Sal and his many volunteers do is simply amazing and from the heart. Very often there is a "matching donation" opportunity which helps your donation go further. It's sad that there is such a need for all of the help that this organization provides but thank God that Sal founded such a loving, caring non-profit. We will continue to donate as long as there is a need. (This is the only organization that we donate to as ALL of the monies go to help the needy.)
I founded The Time Is Now to Help in 1989 to help people that are suffering due to poverty. We help over 500 people each year with food, shelter, car assistance, utilities and much more. Im so grateful for our supporters, volunteers and everyone that has written a positive review. Thank you!! God Bless you!!
I have had the pleasure of volunteering for The Time Is Now To Help for most of my life. It has really opened my eyes to see how much need there is in our own country right now. The Time Is Now really helps so many families that truly need assistance. Between putting roofs over family's heads to feeding the hungry, volunteering and getting to know and help these families is the most rewarding part of my life.
The Time Is Now to Help continues to help so many people in desperate need. Being on the board and being an active volunteer keeps me busy nearly every day of the year. Sal does not slow down for weekends, holidays or sick days. His dedication to his charity is as huge as his heart for those that need his helping hand. I'm so proud of his Realtor Magazine Good Neighbor Award and again winning the Best of Walworth County Non-Profit for 2017!
I have been on the board of The Time Is Now to Help for many years. The organization is working hard to bring awareness to, and assistance to, the many poverty stricken living in the United States. I have seen first hand how life-changing The Time Is Now to Helps assistance can be. Removing the pains of poverty, witnessing the sometimes hidden struggle for our seniors and disabled, preventing homelessness for single mothers and families, and feeding hungry children is what moves me to volunteer and give.
I have been a fan of Sals column he writes for years, and can relate to his story, and promise to God,I am the youngest of 11 children and was raised in the south, by a woman I grew to admire more and more as I grew older, my Mother Dorothy Allen Pilgrim, I always dreamed about pampering her and making her life easier my father passed when I was 6 months old, and left her to raise 11 children alone I remember setting under a shade tree as my Mother work picking or chopping cotton in hot southern heat to put food on the table for all of us, needless to say we were very poor, but she raised 11 children although she couldn't give us much, she did teach us all to be kind hard working God Loving adults, that's why I can relate to his story, I always thought if I could het the lotto I would love to give a poor family as many as possible help, enough about me and why I'm a fan of his work like the Women said Good Neighbor’ isn’t enough to describe Sal,”
he is deserving of such high praise. “of being called a hero he deserves a higher praise ,of being called a Angel of God ,I call him my Guardian Angel I was praying for God to help me find a way to get back on track with all my living expenses, my home was about to go into forecloser, my utilities were all behind I had no clue who or where to turn to my Job is a stay at home care giver for my disabled daughter and husband and two of my Grandchildren ,and I had gotten sick my self and was in the hospital for a few weeks ,I'm paid to care for my daughter, I have no sick days or Medical leave pay ,being sick I missed 2 months pay the next morning after praying for God to show me away I had stopped at the gas station, and grabbed the paper like always and it was opened to the page with the time is now story, I thank God and his Angel Sal .
i was down and out staying with someone. needed to get my own place .was down on my luck trying to work safe some money just couldnt come up with that 1st month,s rent an security. well could came up with one. but would had no money for food, get utilities on. sal was so kind paid for both my 1st month rent and security deposit, it truly ment the world to me an my and my now ex husband..i had to start all over again .wich i did.so thankful for the help sal given us at time we truly needed it. being told you have 2 weeks to get place, in middle of trying to get on disability. sal was an angel. thank you from bottom of my heart. its a memory that will be with me for life time.
The weekly letters about our "neighbors" in need and the help that is provided by this wonderful charity bring tears to my eyes. 100% of the donations go to helping people in our own community. My sister and I now make donations to The Time is Now to Help in lieu of gifts to each other.
Absolutely the best organization! The Time Is Now values every single penny donated. They make sure funds are properly distributed to help desperate people get through tough times. Kind and compassionate in every way. Thank you Time Is Now!
My son is a paraplegic and The Time Is Now To Help has helped him immensely. They got him a new wheelchair that was much need and helped get repairs done on his accessible van.
This organization has been a blessing to so many people in need.
This is one of the best organizations I have ever had dealt with. I reached out to them for help with my son obtaining a wheelchair and received a call back within a couple days. Sal not only took much time to talk with me and my son, he bought my son Michael a brand new wheelchair and had much needed repairs on his van taken care of so my son would have a safe van to travel with his daughters and back and forth from doctors appointments. I had the opportunity to meet Sal and his family and the love they have for people I can't even express. So loving, giving, caring, devotion, selfless and God fearing people. God Bless them and the works that they are doing!!!!!!
I have never before met a more sincere and caring individual than WC, the man that heads up "The Time Is Now To Help: I applaud his hard work and dedication in helping the senior citizens, the handicapped, poor families, veterans, and single mothers and children in need. It is my opinion that his organization is the best in helping people in need and making sure your donations to The Time is Now to Help is well spent.
I would be homeless if it was not for the time is now they are generous beyond anything you could imagine they are truly the hands and feet of Jesus
This is quite simply the best nonprofit I have ever dealt with. I don't often find myself having extra money, but when I do, I try and send it here. I know, without question, that every single cent will be used to help someone in need. I imagine real items, like a bed, a wheel chair or a repaired car being given to a family that needs it. It means a lot to be that my donation is not lost in administrative fees, but becomes something tangible.
I wish I could give six stars.......
This is by far my favorite nonprofit. In my humble opinion, Sal, his family and all the other volunteers are candidates for saint hood. Each time I donated I always knew every cent went to help a real person. You can't really say that about too many places these days. I wish I could rate them 10 stars.......
My Wife and I have been supporters for years. We have been honored to work with Sal in helping find homes and jobs for people in need in the past and will continue to help this fine organization however we can. We support the food pantry too.
Just being in contact with Sal is uplifting enough. I know when Sal meets people in need, their hearts are lifted with hope for the future. Sal know that shelter and food is not enough and sometimes people need love too.
I am so proud of Sal and his crew for doing all the extremely good work they've done over the years.
God bless Sal and those who help The Time Is Now To Help.
