An incredible organization that supports fire departments and firefighter families in need.
My rural volunteer fire department recently received a used fire engine from the Terry Farrell Firefighters Fund at no cost to us. Words cannot describe the impact that this donation has made to our fire department and the communities we serve!
Our experience with the Terry Fund and it’s staff was superb. Communication was clear and timely. They assisted in arranging transportation and lodging for us, and were wonderful hosts during our brief visit to their New York-based headquarters.
We are so grateful for the generosity of the Terry Fund!
The Terry Farrell organization helped our Fire Department when we needed a tanker truck. They were awesome to work with and great to meet.I hope they excel in the helping of other Fire Department’s and Department personnel. Thank you. James Smith. President Antioch Fire Department
absolutely one of the best around. they help anyone in need with medical issues, training, equipment, and various programs to fight mental health and cancers.
I've worked with this fund for about 10 years now. I have seen first hand just how much The Terry Farrell Firefighters Fund helps. 94% of everything that comes in goes right back out. This fund has chapters all around the country. We have been able to help firefighters who serve areas that do not have a lot of money as well as replace equipment that has been destroyed due to nature disasters.
To see Brian Farrell and how he goes the extra mile to provide for Fire departments in need, i know the work he does is making a difference. With Deep respect Ex. Captain Ken Ryan
Helping fire companies that are in need is very satisfying!! You gotta see the face of people that get equipment , that they couldn’t afford, all to volunteer so they can protect their communities!!
a great organization that helped so many over the past decade. Anything you need they are there to help. I hightly recommend.
A totally selfless fund always looking to assist those in need. Proud to be associated with a true fund that you know exactly where and to whom the Monies raised go.
The Terry Farrell Fund has been very generous with scholarships. In addition to the numerous other activities, they contact. They operate using volunteers so all of the donations go to scholarships and other activities. They also provide supplies to departments that are not able to afford them. Numerous department have received their assistance. They also support Explorer and juniors posts with donated equipment.

The Terry Farrell Firefighters Scholarship Fund is one of the finest non profits I have ever encountered. They epitomize charity and the good of our community. Just like FF Farrell often came to the rescue of many, the Foundation that bears his name does the same. The Terry Farrell Firefighter Fund was at the front lines in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy and assisted countless Fire Departments by providing them with necessary equipment to continue protecting their communities even in the face of devastation. The love, generosity and good work of the Terry Fund has expanded Nationwide because of the unparalleled commitment that organizers and volunteers exhibit each day. God bless everyone at the Terry Farrell Fund.

The Terry Farrell is a great organization to work with. From a corporate position we did fundraising with and for them and were always impressed with their devotion to the fire service, firefighters and firefighters families.
I highly recommend supporting the Terry Farrell Firefighters Fund.

The Terry Fund has been very supportive of our Fire Explorer Program and has made gear available to us on two occasions allowing us to outfit all of our kids in bunker gear. They are easy to work with and are wonderful folks. We are forever grateful for all that they do. Thank you from the Stoneham Fire Explorer Program, Stoneham, Massachusetts.
The Terry Farrell fund heard about my Fire Depts struggles and immediately began trying to contact us. When I first spoke with them they asked "What do you guys need help with".....My answer was "EVERYTHING". My dept is located in the center of Detroit. We are very busy and VERY underfunded. We have been living in a 40,000sq Ft warehouse for the past 8 years because our fire station was condemned. We have no heat, no AC, no windows, roaches in the kitchen, and almost impossible to keep clean. Pretty much everything we use for daily living has to be thrown away and repurchased out of our own pockets before we move into our FEMA funded station that is currently being built. None of us have that kind of money. We already buy our own cleaning supplies.
Terry Farrell fund stepped up and took a HUGE weight off our shoulders by sending us 10 brand new beds and very nice recliners so that we have a place to rest on our down time. These things were going to be the most expensive out of the things we needed to supply for ourselves. We are all incredibly grateful and not even sure how we can properly thank the people at the Terry Farrell fund.
This is an amazing and GIVING organization that exists to serve fire departments and firefighters who need help - and fast. I am amazed every time I hear about another one of their selfless exchanges of equipment or vehicles that helps an emergency service agency better serve their community provided by this group that only exists to serve. I strongly support and encourage others to support the Terry Farrell fund - because you'll be helping so many others!
I've observed first hand the work that is done by this organization. No group works harder for Fire Departments, the Fire Fighter or their families. When you support the "Terry Fund" you support the entire Fire Service Community.
this is the group to support. While FEMA and the Red Cross were trying to find Long Island the Terry Fund was out getting supplies to all that needed them. Thank you Terry Farrell firefighters Fund
My husband and I have been involved with this charity for about three years and have made it the key charity for our business. Our entire organization (150 people) are honored to be associated with the great deeds the Terry Farrell Fund puts forward. We most especially applaud the hard work that Chris Hill, Shawn Duncan, Brian Bush and Dan Santillanes (just to name a few!) have put into this organization. The stories of needs for our selfless professional and volunteer firefighters are overwhelming. We truly appreciate their fearless works and are appreciative that we can give back to them in some small way! Xo, Lisa & Mark Voss/Colorado Kilts, LLC
have followed them for the past few years and watched them grow. A really great organization that does amazing things to help first responders.
a great organization helping so many. 100% all volunteer and they work really hard to help all first responders
JUST SAW THESE GUYS WORKING ALL DAY IN BREEZY POINT NY WHERE 130 HOMES WERE LOST TO THE SANDY STORM. THEY WERE THERE WITH BLANETS AND COTS AND ALL THE FIRE GEAR NEEDED TO GET THE DEPARTMENTS IN THAT AREA UP AND RUNNING. THIS IS A GREAT CHARITY AND GREAT GROUP OF INDIVIDUALS. YOU SHOULD GO TO THE WBSITE TERRYFUND.ORG AND BUY A SHIRT OR MAKE A DONATION
i work hard with this group because they work hard to help so many. And no one gets paid. Now what is better than that.
The Terry Farrell Fund is an amazing non profit! They assist firefighters and their families with educational, equipment, and medical needs. Because all of their members are volunteer, almost 100% goes back into the community, assisting these individuals when it is needed most. I have been at several fundraisers for this group. I also have seen how their financial, as well as, moral support has helped firefighters who have been injured on the job. It is awesome to see the passion and heart they have for helping others in need. They give back to those who give so freely and selflessly to their communities. This is why I will continue to support the Terry Farrell Fund any way I can.
this is one of the good guy funds that help people without takng for themselves. I will always support the Terry Fund
i supoort this fund because they work hard to help firefighters and no one takes any salary. what comes in goes out to help those in need. A great organization
The Terry Farrell Firefighter Fund is one the best non for profit fund there is. I have volunteer for this group many time over the past 4 years. They support fallen firefighters and thier familys. Nobody in this group get paid, they are a all volunteer group. The fund is definitely worth supporting.
i HAVE WATCHED THIS fUND GROW FROM A SMALL SCHOARSHIP TO A NATIONAL GROUP HELPING FIREFIGHTERS ACROSS THE COUNTRY. THEY HAVE TAKEN SO MUCH SORROW AND TURNED IT INTO A VERY GOOD THING. THANK YOU
hello. My husband brought me to an event in brentwood. we had a blast; it was reassuring to see that these people cared about the cause they were promoting. wonderful people! great cause!
i heard about this group from a friend. She told me they were great people who really cared about the events and the people who attended. she went on to say that they were honest and legit. I went on her advise; the people were fabulous. the crowd was great and a great time was had. I would recomend the terry farrell fund to anyone. thanks for taking care of the families.
a class act. this Fund helps firefighters and their families across the Country. everyone should support these guys
I have participated as both a volunteer and attendee of many functions of the Terry Farrell Fund. It is great to see how family and friends continue to be dedicated to such a great cause.
I have attended dozens of events where the Terry Farrell Fund have been in attendance...The staff have been so kind & generous. They are really there to raise money for a good cause unlike many other organizations you see out there. I would donate to the foundation anyday. They use the money the right way & help the right people.
AMAZING PEOPLE & THEIR FAMILIES HAVE BEEN TOUCHED BY THIS FOUNDATION. WITH THE HELP OF THE TERRY FARRELL FUND , VOLUNTEERS & NUMEROUS DONATIONS FIRE HOUSES HAVE BEEN ABLE TO UPGRADE THEIR GEAR AND TRAINING. THAT IS A HUGE SUCCESS IN AREAS AROUND THE COUNTRY. THANK YOU
This is a great foundation, made for a great cause. Everyone involved is a volunteer and really cares about helping everyone in the community. The foundation hass grown to such a great size and helped so many people.
This is 1 of the few foundations that I support annually because of their sincere support and caring to the lives of Firemen & their families. Brian Farrell, the Farrell Brothers and the rest of the foundation have done an amazing job building up the foundations and it continues to grow over the years! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!
I continue to donate annually to this Fund because they remain all volunteer and give out almost every dime they take in. No paper work no nonsense just helping firefighters.
I have been a donor and a volunteer to the Terry Fund since 2002 and am proud to say that this fund has donated life saving equiptment to many high schools and fire departments who are unable to raise the funds needed to obtain the needed equptment and has distributed many scholarships to the children and grandchildren of firemen. 100% of the money raised goes to those institutions who need help and to individuals who qualify for scolarships.
The Terry Farrell Foundation has assisted a dear friend of mine that has Stage 4 Liver Cancer. My friend has approximately 8 months to live and it was his request to go to Ground Zero with his family before his failed. I had knowledge of this group and had a couple of contacts and we spoke. The Terry Farrell Foundation made this possible for my friend to go not only to Ground Zero but to also have a VIP tour of ground Zero with the Executive Director Lee Ieliphil giving this tour. In addition to they were able to meet the crew at Rescue 5 and had a tour of the City. This was all coordinated and arranged with 3 hours of the first point of contact. A Fundraiser is being held for my friend and these guys were the first to jump onboard with helping. This is a outstanding group of individuals and should recieve the grant to continue the efforts that they do.
Formed after the tragic events of 9/11, the Terry Farrell Firefighters Fund is one of the few volunteer organizations who serve our firefighers with no hidden political agenda. Money raised in each state stays in that state and is used to assist any public safety or military family. Learning of the fund several years ago, contact was made with Fund Chairman Brian Farrell. A chapter was opened in my state, California, and we have donated over $30,000 in three years. I am proud to be a part of this organization and have the ability to make a difference. Please vote for the Terry Farrell Fund!
I have followed the progress of The Terry Farrell Fund since I heard of it about 3 years ago. If ANY nonprofit is deserving of grant money from ANY source, it is this Fund. We need to support our firefighters and absolutely any family and/or victims of 911. DO NOT FORGET!
I support any foundation that is out there to care for the men and women who protect us everyday and their families. This foundation has helped so many and continues to support families in need. Keeping Education available for those in need is especially important to me, Keep up the good work!
The Terry Farrell Firefighters Fund as a whole has donated $1,000,000 since 2002. The fund has donated surplus fire apparattus and equipment to fire depts that do not have large budgets. They have hosted fundraisers for individual firefighters in need; the GA Chapter alone has donated $8,500.00 to firefighters in GA. We had a direct experience when they came to the aid of one of our firefighters who was battling cancer and then was involved in a horrific automobile accident which killed his wife and severly injuring the firefighter. We appreciate ALL the Terry Farrell Firefighters Fund does for us!
This Fund continues to serve the public and is branched out to more than the fire professional's family. They have given computers to schools, monies to various not-for-profit organizations in need and struggle with all not-for-profits in a bad economy trying to raise the monies necessary to put smiles on faces. They deserve a great deal of support.
The Terry Farrell Firefighters Fund is dedicated to helping families of firefighters injured or killed in the line of duty. This amazing group of people, who consist of firefighters throughout the country, selfishly give their time, energy and resources to host fundraisers and give that money back to those in need in the states they serve. Up to nine chapters and growing, the TFFFund is dedicated to keeping the memory of the late Terry Farrell alive. Terry and 342 of his firefighting brothers died at the WTC in New York. I have seen first hand how the California and Colorado chapters have brought people together for a great non-profit and and even greater mission. Long live the fund!
The Terry Farrell Firefighters Fund has allowed me to help my fellow brothers. The Georgia Chapter just held it's 2nd annual Stair Climb that not only brought fellow firefighters together to remember 9/11 but also the community. Community members have participated each year and take this opportunity to educate their children about the events of 9/11. The GA chapter has helped multiple firefighters and their families in times of need. It has also donated firefighting equipment to programs that need assistance. Most recently the Georgia Chapter donated helmets to the Cobb County FD explorer program. Which is a program that educates high school students on a possible future career in the fire service. I am proud to be a part of this organization and look forward to future of our organization. Please give us an opportunity to help more.
So many charities, so little time and money! Being a native NYer and descended from FDNY, naturally I would tend to gravitate to this organization. What many of us take for granted means a lot more to the men and women of your local fire department. They put their lives on the line, every day, for in some cases, small salary and little praise. They don't do it for the money; they do it to help! Unfortunately, as in 911, sometimes they don't return from their shift. That leaves the family with very little support, with the exception of their family, friends and The Terry Farrell Fund. In addition, smaller departments are enabled to buy equipment outside the restrictions of local budgets in order to better protect their communities.
I was able to learn from the Terry Fund with a College Scholarship! I have done research on all the great things that the fund has done and continues to do all across the country from giving equipment to fire houses to helping families with medical needs. Always giving a helping a hand! GREAT!! They have offered a great amount of grants to students going to college and they have such a positive outlook!
The Terry Farrell Firefighter Fund has 14 Chapters nationwide. Our Fund is here to assist firefighters and their families with educational, medical, and equipment needs. All of us are volunteers. We run our Chapters on 3% annual budget giving 97% of all money raised back to the firefighters that serve in their States. The Fund has donated over $1,000,000 since it was started in 2002. The Georgia Chapter of the Terry Farrell Firefighters Fund was established in February 2011. The Georgia Chapter has donated $8,500.00 and has given surplus fire equipment to Fire Explorers who are the future of the Fire Service.
Terry Farrell Firefighters does an annual stair climb in Georgia. I was able to attend it last year, and my sister did this year. The firefighters and dedicated to protecting our lives are the most loyal, and heart-warming group of people I have ever had the honor to meet. This fund helps firefighters and their families who risk their lives to protect our community. I could not be more pleased to write a review for these men and women who are honorable, sweet, and brave (not something you find every day)! This is a great non profit that only has the goal to help the firefighter community!!
The Terry Fund is one of the most organized foundations I have dealt with. They are always willing to help the unfortunate.
I HAVE GIVEN IN THE PAST AND WILL GIVE AGAIN. WHY? BECAUSE THIS FUND DOES NOT WASTE MONEY OR HAVE HIGH ADMINISTRATIVE COSTS. THEY SERVE THE FIRE SERVICE COMMUNITY AND DO A GREAT JOB.
I was able to benefit from the Terry Fund with a College Scholarship! I have read up on all the great things that the fund has done and continues to do all across the country from giving equipment to fire houses to helping families with medical needs. Always giving a helping a hand! GREAT!!
The Terry Farrell Fund is a non-profit organization which gives back so much to the Fire Service and the members who serve in Fire Departments, whether be it paid or volunteer. This fund was established after the tragic events of the 9/11 attacks, and it serves to help keep the legacy of a brave firefighter alive in doing what he loved to do. Terry was a member of FDNY Rescue 4 as well as an Asst. Chief of the Dix Hills Fire Dept. He was also an Ex-Chief of the Hicksville Fire Dept. The fund has done wonderful things across this nation and has several chapters in different states which help out local firefighters by collecting equipment and distributing to those in need. The members also participate in many local charities and provide scholarships to children of firefighters.
They also participate in the annual United States Marine Corps “Toys for Tots” toy drive program. Having known Terry and served under him as a member of the Hicksville Fire Dept, this is the type of person he was, a giving person. As I tried to explain to my then 7 year old daughter, right after Sept 11, “out of something bad, comes something good”.
THE TERRY FARRELL FUND HAS OFFERED A GREAT AMOUNT OF GRANTS TO STUDENTS GOING TO COLLEGE AND MONEY TO FIRE HOUSES AROUND THE COUNTRY. THEY HAVE HAD SUCH A POSITIVE IMPACT TO EVERYONE AROUND THE COUNRTY! WAY TO GO TFF!!
The Terry Farrell Fund has helped hundred of families and Fire Houses are the country for years. Their response time to requested is so quick amazing! They are so helpful with anything and everything you could need! Thank You TERRY FARRELL FUND!!! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!
The Terry Farrell Fund is an outstanding fund. Assisting the extended family of firefighters and departments throughout the country is their main goal. This is accomplished thru scholarships and the donation of equipment to fire departments throughout the country that need assistance. Most amazing is that this is accomplished with less than 5% of the funds raised going to operating expenses. That in itself speaks for the organization. Anyone that has the opportunity to help such a great fund should consider the Terry Farrell Fund.
The Terry Farrell fund has done great things for many people. Brian is an inspiration to everyone he comes in contact with.
To whom it may concern, I am writing this letter of reccomendation for the Terry Farrell Fund. This fund has assisted many fire departments across the state in various ways and will continue to benefit those fire departments who are in need of vital equipment to function and protect their communities. Our fire district was able to benefit in the means of a boat which we had sent a request to the Terry Farrell Fund and with in a week they were able to locate one for us at no cost other than the trip down there for the pick up. Upon arrival the Fund also made sure we had the rescue ropes, cold water suits, flippers, rings, and motor to go with the boat we picked up. I feel this unit has been a great asset for our department for in the summer time when the 3 bodies of water that we cover become very busy with campers, boaters and tourists to our area in Northern New York. We would like to recommend the Terry Farrell Fund for the prestigous award and this would help the fund to assist more departments like ours who can not always purchaes items of need. Dale Barker, Past Chief Edwards Vol. Fire Dept
The Terry Farrell Firefighters Fund has spread its giving throughout the nation, giving thousand of dollars to firefighters and their families during tragic times. With little to no overhead costs it allows the money raised through fundraising and donations to be 'funneled' directly to those in need for full benefit. With new chapters being established throughout the nation it allows the millions of firefighters across the country to benefit when the need arises. As a board member of the Colorado Chapter I have seen first hand how the Fund has personally touched and benefited firefighters and their families. Without the strong leadership and guidance of Brian Farrell this wouldn't succeed. This truly is a top notch non-profit with a wonderful mission.
This group started for a firefighter that perished during the 9-11 terrorist assault on the World Trade Centers. They don't ask for money, but will accept donations. Their function is to assist all firefighters, fire departments, and EMS in need of equipment, supplies and gear. They accept donations from departments, corporations, etc that have excess gear, equipment, etc and turn the donations around (clean, rehab, rebuild) and give them to organizations in need. It is run entirely by volunteers. The group tries to fulfill every request they get. It has given out scholarships, vehicles, gear, hose, turnouts, etc to help all firefighters do their job to keep the public safe. This organization fills a void no one else has tried to fill.
The TFFF is an amazing organiztion. Simply put the best of the best. All organizations/foundations should embrace & emulate these amazing people at the TFFF. The FealGood Foundation is proud to partner with such an amazing organization, and looks forward to years of great work together.
The Terry Farrell Fund is a great help to all firefighters and ems personal. They are always there to help anyone in need. They give out scholarships to help students with paying for school. They also have a surplus program that helps fire departments in need of gear and equipment. I have seen them donate gear, equipment, and vehicles to needy fire departments and they are always willing to help.
the Terry Fund has helped small depts across the south with equipment and apparatus that would other wise be impossible for the dept. to buy. They are all volunteer and all for the fire service. It is hard to belive in this day and age that there really is a group out there that really just wants to help with no big overhead or paid staff. they have no big paper work or details just ask for help and they are there. They are the best!

The economic downturn that began in 2008 and lingers today has had a significant impact on the American fire service and resulting in losses of staffing, equipment, and funding around the U.S. I've known the staff at the Terry Fund since 2007 and continue to be impressed with the volume of assistance they can offer to firefighters, fire departments and communities. The Terry Fund has assisted families of fallen public servants, purchased equipment for fire departments, and hand delivered fire apparatus to organizations in need. While other programs such as the Assistance to Firefighters Grant from the government can mire an applicant in paperwork and processes for over a year, the Terry Fund's response to real need is immediate. Brian and his staff have become patrons of firefighters and families everywhere and managed to simplify requests for assistance. The impact this small foundation has had is nothing short of remarkable.
The Terry Farrell Foundation is always willing to bend over backwards to help others. I heard a dispatch from an EMS call that involved one of our firefighters and realized how "bad" the call was. I immediately notified the Terry Farrell Foundaton and they had personnel at the hospital to meet the firefighter and his family and assist in any way they can. They were able to arrange a fundraiser to assist in benefiting this firefighter and his family. They are very active in their community. I have been a paid and volunteer firefighter for over 20 years and this is the first group that I would encourage anyone to join. It is a very rewarding experience helping fellow public safety personnel and their families! Great job!
We are all familiar with 9/11. And we all know that there are numerous charities that sprung from the ashes of the WTC. But what you do not know is that this one, The Terry Farrell Firefighters Fund is the best of all. It has no paid staff, and virtually all of the overhead costs are donated by volunteers. This is a TRUE charitable organization. The money donated goes to help current firefighters and their families in time of need. They cover the gambit from educational assistance to healthcare. THEY ARE THE BEST!! I do not recommend many charities but this is one I can without hesitation. Thank You.
this organization is run by all volunteers who seek only to help firefighters and their families. They have taken sorrow and turned it to smiles for all those who they have helped over the years. They are the best.
In September 2011 I first meet Tim Lohan of the Terry Farrell Fund Pennsylvania Chapter at the PA State Fireman's Convention. After myself and Andrew Carlin talked to Tim for several minutes we began to realize that the apparatus we had been trying to sell for several years would fit perfectly into the Terry Farrell Funds program. Within two weeks we got a response from Tim for a company in need of a apparatus in Montevello, Alabama. In January 2012 we had a dedication ceremony to present the members of the Dry Valley Fire Dept with our 1990 Ford E-One Rescue Pumper. Myself and Andrew made the 20 hour drive down to Alabama to see our donated apparatus reach it's new home. During this trip we had the honor of escorting the piece of steel that was removed from Terry Farrell's body in the South Tower Lobby. When we arrived in Montevello we received a welcome like no other. We were a part of the ceremony to bring the piece of steel to Alabama. We meet Spruce McRee of the Alabama Chapter. This trip alone was a life changing experience for me. Not only to be involved with a something so symbolic to Terry Farrell and the South Tower steel, But to see the gratitude of the Dry Valley Fire Dept and knowing that we have changed their lives as much as they have changed ours. And to top off our experience our fire company was presented with a piece of steel from the North Tower by Brain Farrell. I am truly humbled and honored to have meet you and helped your organization. - Michael Maxwell, Captain, Washington Fire Co., Conshohocken, Pa
