It's been a true honor working at The Teen Project, Inc. This industry and service is not easy nor simple, but it's vital. All staff and management work together to create the best outcomes. Everyone is on the same page of putting client's first and doing so requires a lot of work and effort. This looks different depending on the client. Every client comes here with a different story, different personality, different needs, etc. So, yes, it might not be all that glamourous, but it's real and its effective and it's done with the best interest in mind. Plain and simple.

Freehab is amazing! I was really curious about the program so I went to check it out and they offered me a tour of the newly renovated building. The staff there was really nice and told me about some of their volunteering slots opening when they get started. I really like that everything here was donated and they seem to truly have their hearts in the right place by offering these services for FREE!!

I have had the opportunity to tour the teen project facility: Freehab. I can honestly say that the facility is Fabulous! The teen project vision is inspiring. It will be a home for transitional age youth and a treatment facility that in the long run will give its inhabitants an opportunity to learn life skills and trade skills that will benefit them for future job opportunities. It is strictly nonprofit and the donations that have been given thus far are truly heart warming. The program is free to qualifying transitional age youth. The staff are highly qualified and the schedule will be full of treatment options for recovery and living a sober lifestyle.

This organization is the parent organization to a treatment center called "Freehab". Now while the work they do may be considered great and on all accounts may help and benefit some people in one way or another, they are also very conflicting and not very transparent in their dealings. To be blunt, they lie to get ahead and to get money. To my knowledge, they lied to gain the trust of the community and former employees of a program that they are supposedly replacing in order to obtain a $500,000 grant from the City of Los Angeles just to then not follow through with promises made to those former employees and the community. This organization cares only about serving themselves and what THEY want to do, NOT what the community that they are going to now occupy needs them to do. The community of Sun Valley needs Freehab to help the homeless males of the community because that is the main problem, not 18-24 year old females. The operations of this company behind closed doors is deceitful and they think that putting a few movie stars and a former City Council Member (the same guy who helped them get the grant from the City of L.A.) that they can buy their way into the community and get away with what ever they choose. Don't be fooled by this organization and the new Freehab that they are opening. They fooled the former employees of a company that did great work in that community, don't let them fool you too.
