Causes: Children & Youth, Girls Clubs
Mission: The mission of the superyou fundation is for youth to discover their most empowered selves and to tap into their potential to positively impact the world. Through writing, visual arts, and performing arts exploration, youth will learn to call upon their inner superhero and personal strength to help overcome the obstacles they face. Creating as their inner superhero, they will transform the view of themselves and the world to become master creators of power, positivity, and possibility in their everyday lives. Building connection and community, students will then team up to form "superhero leagues" with other classrooms (from other states, or possibly, the globe), to create social good missions to change the world.
Programs: Enhanced course material to include extensive teacher's guide and common core learning standards.
became a partner with "skype in the classroom" who will be instrumental in promoting the superyou program to schools globally.
with the support of the department of education in new york city, superyou launched pilot programs in six new york city elementary schools. Early data from principals indicate increased student attendance & performance as well as decreased incidents in superyou classes.
