Mission: To recognize, celebrate and evaluate the construction industry and its contributions to the civic, aesthetic and economic well-being of the greater cincinnati region. This includes such activites as honoring eminent contractors and their achievements, promoting and funding civic, educational and training ventures, which benefit construction.
Programs: Education: the foundation provides undergraduate scholarships to 14 students including 7 military personnel. The foundation supports construction career day for students interested in a career in the construction industry.
the foundation provided support to the southwest ohio region workforce investment board via a construction advocate grant. The grant was used to expand the construction career pathway collaborative program to middle school students in inner-city neighborhoods in the greater cincinnati area. The program introduced students to basic skills in the construction trade, taught them good work habits and boosted their confidence to consider construction as a career option.
the foundation supported the ywca of greater cincinnati rosie's girls program, a summer day camp for girls entering 6th - 8th grade to help develop and strengthen their capacities and confidence while exposing them to career opportunities in the construction industry.
the foundation also provided grants to support education in construction trades at butler technical school, and other support for construction professionals and trades.
