Mission: Honoring our roots in the christian faith, we believe every person has value, the ability to grow, is unique and gifted, and has a future with promise. Therefore, cornerstone youth center is dedicated to providing a welcoming and nurturing environment that empowers young people to reach their full potential.
Programs: Operation of cornerstone youth center from 3:00-6:00 pm monday-thursday, and 3:00-10:00 pm on friday. Cornerstone also provides evening programs outside of those times. All of our programs seek to provide enrichment socially, intellectually, physically, and spiritually. In 2017, cornerstone recorded over 16,145 visits to our many programs by more than 665 individuals. Cornerstone also operates programs offsite at heritage elementary school partnering with learn resource center and at new haven middle school. In the fall of 2017 we added another school site at heritage jr high school. All of our sites offer after-school homework help, academic enrichment activities, art exploration, stem related activities and family enrichment. Our programming is developed around the search institutes' 40 developmental assets that are internal and external assets identified in healthy and productive adults.
