Causes: Congregate Meals, Food
Mission: To provide leadership in a community wide effort, to foster good nutrition to the needy, to minimize health risks due to the residual effects of hunger. Quite simply....."to feed the hungry".
Results: The Soup Kitchen has been providing a delicious free meal to anyone who is hungry for over 30 years. The Soup Kitchen has grown into one of the largest soup kitchen's in the state, over 120,000 meals were provided to those in need last year. The home of the soup kitchen is the old Central Fire Statio remodeled to provide a clean delightful environment for the patrons. This souop kitchen is 100% community funded and volunteer driven. Programs: A soup kitchen that serves and average of 250 people a day a delicious warm wholesome meal MOnday through Saturday 11:00 am - 1:00 pm and offers a take home meal, we have a children's once a week dinner for children and their families each Wednesday evening and "Cory's Kidz" which provides oback to school and holiday gifts for our children and thier family.
