Mission: To provide transportation assistance to cancer patients to obtain medical treatment toward survivorship. We have helped cancer patients across the state of north carolina. Also, we have a mentoring program for girls ages 7-17 to provide leadership skills toward development and successful enhancement of academic goals to graduation and beyond.
Programs: We hosted the treasure her elegance grand tea fundraiser in march 2017. This honors community stewards while helping to raise funding for operating expenses for the year including rent, administrative items to run the office and phone service.
on october 28, 2017 we held the "lets talk breast cancer forum" that presented experts in the field to provide current and relative information to participants with a q&a at the end. It was held at the garner road community center. We paid $50 rental for the space and doughnuts and water were provided.
the sisi small pearls apprentice program is our leadership curriculum for girls ages 7-17. We meet september - may once a month as we provide a deliberate curriculum that enhances their academic goals. Community leaders speak to them sharing a wealth of knowledge and experiences. They are very accomplished girls from all walks of life and we are very proud of this 5 year program of excellence.
