Mission: The mission of The Shelter for Abused Women & Children (The Shelter) is leading and collaborating with the community to Prevent, Protect and Prevail over domestic violence and human trafficking through advocacy, empowerment and social change. The Shelter helps survivors of domestic violence and human trafficking through safety, intervention, and support. Services provided by the Shelter include 24- hour crisis counseling, an emergency safe shelter, a counseling center, a transitional living program, support groups, children's services, direct assistance, and court and legal services. The Shelter's vision is a community free from domestic violence and human trafficking where individuals and families can live in safety and peace.

A serene and compassionate surrounding for people to regain their identity, create a new path and thrive in the world. The staff and volunteers are truly miracle workers and the people that pass through their doors are very thankful that a Shelter of this magnitude exists.
