Nonprofit Overview
Mission: At The Safe Haven Community Resource Center, Inc. (Safe Haven CRC), it is our earnest mission to deliver the highest standard of care and services to children and their families. We are dedicated to providing a community “safe haven” and resource center, while promoting esteem-building, academic excellence, and civil & social responsibility. We provide love, guidance, learning & enrichment activities in a safe & nurturing environment.
Target demographics: We service the entire community, some whose lives are impacted by drugs, violence, illiteracy, and low self-esteem.
Direct beneficiaries per year: 156 children, 89 families,
Programs: (Childcare) As a childcare service provider, we are dedicated to addressing the physical, social, emotional, and educational needs of early childhood and Pre-K learners. We have been serving families, children, and the community since 2001. We provide a safe and nurturing environment that is stimulating, and conducive to learning, growing, and developing. (Aftercare) With more and more school age children living in homes where parents work outside of their home, it is vital that children and youth have after-school activities and programs that help them further develop both academically and socially. Our aftercare program provides a safe and nurturing after school environment that is stimulating, and conducive to learning, growing, and development through academically enriching activities. Our aftercare program also provides homework assistance, tutorials by certified teachers, healthy snacks, and dedicated and caring mentors.
