I recently fell into poverty and brought two cats along with me... They mean so much to I couldn’t bare to loose them too. I was going hungry at times struggling to make sure they were fed. Then we found the Pongo Fund. They showed so much concern for their well being and matching up foods with their needs. Both of my girls are doing well now and I’m so grateful to this organization and staff. If you can help this is beyond a worthy cause. If your pets are in need, then this place you can trust... I can’t thank them enough for helping us. We now all have a roof over our heads with full bellies. Thank you so much to the Pongo Fund!

Mission: The Pongo Fund protects animals from suffering, starvation, surrender, abandonment and euthanasia, by providing emergency pet food assistance and vital veterinary care for the family pets of anyone in honest need.
Results: Our award winning and volunteer driven public charity helps more animals than any other group in Oregon, more than 90,000 animals helped; more than 9,000,000 healthy meals provided.

Programs: The Pongo Fund is Oregon's only full time charity fighting animal hunger and our award-winning and volunteer driven organization has provided more than 9 million nutritious meals for 90,000 family pets in 28 counties. Keeping these beloved animals safe at home and out of the shelters when their own families could not afford to keep them fed. We have become a national model for new ways to save lives and reduce shelter populations, and we provide vital veterinary care and spay and neuter too. The Pongo Fund Emergency Hunger Response Team also provided millions of pet food meals to numerous Oregon & Washington emergency food agencies. Successfully bridging the gap that occurs when hungry people have hungry pets. We are a vital resource for local and national agencies, including Oregon Food Bank, Oregon Humane Society, Meals on Wheels, Department of Veterans Affairs, Department of Human Services and dozens more. Agencies that depend on The Pongo Fund to aid their own fragile clients when they have nowhere else to turn.
