The Partnership is small but mighty. It is in the forefront of generating national awareness and action supportive of helping adolescent boys and young men to address the many challenges facing them today. A growing number of indicators suggest that young men collectively are facing serious crises, such as higher rates of suicide, lower rates of high school graduation and colleges attendance, poorer physical and mental health, higher levels of unemployment and incarceration. Such factors as these impact not only young men and their futures, but also the very fabric of societal health, well-being and progress. Scores of leading national organizations have joined the Partnership in recognition of the urgent need to take action today.

I am a proud supporter of The Partnership for Male Youth (PMY). PMY is a pioneer in advancing attention to and action supportive of adolescent and young adult males to optimize their health and ensure that they thrive. Key to PMY's growing reach and impact is its commitment to working with partner organizations to expand and strengthen policies and programs supportive of young men. PMY also provides educational resources for both professionals and the public. I think it fair to say that PMY is a pioneer in advancing a long past-due national focus on assuring the health and well-being of males between the ages of 10 and 25 in ways that benefit them, their families, their communities and the nation at large.
I look forward to the PMY newsletter every week. It is the most comprehensive source of research and real life experience for young males. The best part about PMY is how they offer practical solutions to help young males. It's not easy to navigate all of the challenges with this population. I'm grateful for the work PMY does, because it makes the impossible work feel attainable.
