Never in my life have I encountered such educated, dedicated and seemingly tireless people as those at Old Goats Home. They really love each goat as a personality, not just a farm animal. They’re my heroes!
No, I am not biased, even though Rebecca is my wife. LOL. She has given so many animals a new beginning, a wonderful life at OGH. Rebecca always puts the animals first. I know this because that puts me down the list below them and the kids LOL. If she works less than a 16 hour day it is surprising and rare. Bex does the majority of the work herself. She has some volunteers but still she seems to work tirelessly. Her commitment to providing all the critters the best care and enrichment blows me away. If she doesn't know something she researches it is so she stays on top of her game. So many animals have been rescued by OGH over the years. Bex makes herself available to people in the community who need advice on their animals as well. Again, she works tirelessly to benefit animals in need. She is a vegan as well which speaks volumes to how she feels about them. They are so lucky to have OGH as a safe place to land and be loved.

This is an amazing non profit! The animals are all cared for as if they are family members. The facilities are clean and setup to accommodate many different personality types, ages, level of infirmity and activity level. There are many enrichment to keep the goaties and other critters happy, and engaged. I love everything about TGOH!!
We loved our visit to the Old Goat’s Home. We learned a lot and had such a blast playing with goats and bunnies. It was way more than feeding goats, it was about creating really special fun and magical memories. We will definitely be back!
Very thankful to have found this rescue. They are a safe haven for older goats and they are given a graceful beautiful life.
The Old Goats Home is an outstanding rescue for these wonderful critters. The people responsible for these animals are so caring and compassionate! Always looking out for the goats in their care as well as the other animals they take in.

The shared stories of their rescues are full of love and acceptance for each animal. Their sweet individual personalities and needs seem very well tended to. Such a kind labor of love for all of their animals.
Any one who loves older animals are OK in my book. And any one who loves goats is OK in my book. So these guys are AWESOME for caring for both ❤️❤️
I have volunteered with the Old Goats Home and witnessed first hand how much work and heart goes into caring for the animals.
I’ve been a volunteer at OGH for nearly two years. It started with a tour I took as part of a fundraiser. I wanted to be a part of this amazing rescue. Gumption, dedication, compassion - this is what makes this place run every single day. I’m always amazed and how much this rescue does with so little. But love for the animals goes a long way when it comes to running a rescue and this one is full of love!
Love the care they give to all their animals. And love the hearts of those that work there. Love the lives they save each day. And I love the way each animal has a name and a story and that they get to live out their lives in a safe and happy environment.
I’m continually amazed at the love and care the animals at OGH receive. Bex is incredible. She gets to know each and every critter she adopts and she takes the time to form a bond with them…even if that bond takes a year to cultivate. She keeps files on their habits, likes/dislikes, history (if known), and she does everything possible to make sure they feel welcome, comfortable, and full. Her care is absolutely top-notch, the rescues at OGH are very lucky.
Along with proving amazing care to her animals, she also works to help educate others. Her knowledge is vast and she’s always answering questions or sharing information about her animals and their conditions, or tidbits about the breeds/type of animal. She has a decent number of animals that would have been written off as “unhealthy”, or who had been deemed unworthy of treatment, and they were all treated by Bex and are currently thriving and most importantly: they are HEALTHY. She fully believes that EVERY ANIMAL DESERVES A CHANCE AT LIFE.
Recently my work team spent a few hours volunteering at OGH where we got to meet the animals and help Bex build enclosures. I’m already planning a return trip. I wish I lived closer so I could volunteer on a regular basis.
I have been a supporter of The Old Goats Home & Rescue for over a year. They are a wonderful sanctuary, who care for lots of goats and some other animals too. The goats are of mixed age and care group, such as new rescue, baby, family, hospice and senior. They all receive tailored care for their individual needs. They all have a beautiful home, and even their diets are tailored to specific ages and health conditions. Bex, the founder is very thorough and is an excellent researcher, making 100% certain that all needs are met for each animal. They are an absolutely wonderful sanctuary.
I am a huge animal lover and have never seen animals so loved and so well cared for in my life. Every animal resident at The Old Goats Home is given the absolute best of everything in terms of food, shelter, care and love! I am so honored to volunteer there every Thursday!
I’ve always loved goats and found out about the Old Goats Home a while back. I’ve been following them and enjoying their posts, and have been happy to support them both financially and with supply donations. They are a great place and we need more people like them in the world.
The Old Goats Home does outstanding work rescuing and caring for goats and other animals, their farm tours are wonderful and very educational. Highly recommended.
Exceptional caregivers!
They go above and beyond for each individual rescue animal and it shines through in the joy and smiles on the rescues faces.
A rescue like none other! Often times our companion animal friends get most, if not all of the spotlight when it comes to rescue, leaving our livestock rescues in the dark. The Old Goats Home & Rescue does such unique work, caring for aging and ill animals. Providing hospice and end of life care to any animal is never a cheap endeavor, financially or emotionally and I'm grateful to them for caring for these old abandoned and lost souls who often times no longer serve a purpose to their previous owners. If only we could all treat animals in the same regard we treat people, there would be no need for rescues like these to exist. Until then, please consider donating to The Old Goats Home & Rescue.
I am inspired and support this sanctuary because I see all the hard work, dedication and love that is put into each fur baby. Keep up the amazing work
