I have been involved in NFJC for over ten years. What makes NFJC special is that it is an oasis in a sea of disarray. One feels so very positive about the organization because it is fighting in so many ways to calm the sea of disarray. NFJC makes me enthused to do what I can to be a strong voice in fighting the injustices in our county.

I enjoy this nonprofit because there are a plethora of activities that this nonprofit initiates like our project we worked on in the summer about social justice and the "Youth Advisory Board" as well. I enjoy that this federation is fighting for a good cause for the betterment of humanity.
I had an amazing experience at a summer camp co-run by NFJC! I met new people and came up with a project idea with them as part of the camp, and we ended up starting a nonprofit organization together called ADG Voice to spread awareness of refugees after the camp!
I joined doing a Social Justice thingy over the summer. It was super fun and educational! Afterwards I was invited to join a youth council, and it has been equally fun. I am glad to be apart of it :))

I've had the good fortune to have been involved with NFJC WNY for many years, both as a community member and also as a board member. The number of matters that the NFJC WNY has been involved in are innumerable but two things stand out to me. There was a controversy in our community regarding the nickname use by a local school that was considered by some to denigrate a segment of our population. The staff at the NFJCWNY worked tirelessly to provide a forum and facilate education and communication among all involved in an attempt to help resolve what was a very divisive issue. Another NFJCWNY initiative that speaks to the workk of the organization is it's annual Dash for Diversity where community individuals of all ages come together to show their commitment to building a diverse community by participating in a run/walk event that definity helps to build unity in our community. Each year I enjoy having my very young grandchildren be a part of this event, not only for the many fun activities, but hopefully to also help them see the very good things that can be achieved when we work together to be inclusive community that cares about each other.

Having worked at the National Federation for Just Communities of WNY for over fourteen years I have seen first hand the value of the programs they offer. Continuing on a successful seventy year history the NFJC has strived to bring people of different backgrounds together with the hope of building stronger communities through advocacy and education. The NFJC offers Youth Programs, (of which my son has not only been a participant but a facilitator), Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Sessions and a myriad of collaborative programs with other organizations. I highly recommend the Multi-Faith Thanksgiving Service or the MLK Program as an easy way to start your involvement with the NFJC and all it has to offer.
Marc and company provided very meaningful and relevant information for the Niagara Wheatfield Central- Instructional staffers on opening day. They were thorough and professional and we look forward to continuing the partnership moving ahead!
I have enjoyed participating in the NFJC Dash for Diversity. All three of our children participated in the activities, games and running. It was well organized and provided family friendly, community experience.

I am a Board Member of this organization, and am so proud of the work that we do. I have been involved with the NFJC for over 5 years--attending their annual walk and banquet, as well as the various intercultural services and workshops. In my experience, the staff members have been down to earth, personable and committed to issues surrounding diversity and inclusion. Situated in downtown Buffalo, the NFJC responds well to the sociopolitical climate of the given moment and is committed to programing which is tailored to the city's needs. I look forward to continuing my relationship with the NFJC in the future.
NFJC of Western NY continues to make a powerful impact in our community. Working with individual leaders, youth, schools, organizations, and city officials-this small organization has a tremendous influence. The messages, lessons, and programs are invaluable. I am impressed by the dedicated staff, strong board, and amazing students that are affiliated with the NFJC. I work for a school and many students that have gone to the community build and leadership programs come out meeting new friends, discussing difficult topics (such as diversity, neighborhood economics, violence, and gender), as well as stronger leaders. Their experiences do not end after one weekend, they often stay involved and become "lifers" by supporting an organization that makes a difference in their lives.
The NFJC of WNY promotes inclusion and acceptance in the WNY area. The work they do is vital and necessary to educate our population on the positive impact that diversity has on our communities. The outreach that the NFJC of WNY has to our youth is necessary to have our children grow into leaders who promote diversity and inclusion. We are all stronger when we work together, regardless of ethnicity or religion. It is important that we support this non-profit because it is doing work that nobody else is doing.
The NFJC of WNY provides much needed programs to area youth leaders with their Community Build retreats, Community Builders and Sheriff/Youth Live-In Camp. They provide multiple opportunities for local high school students to engage in service activities.
I too am a board member. I have developmental disability. I appreciate the fact that the NFJC includes all people of all faiths and backgrounds. It is my honor and privilege to be a part of a social justice organization that believes all people matter and should be treated as human beings. No matter issues that they might have or backgrounds. Thank you very much for letting me be a voice of those who are sometimes told to be silent. I look forward to a long and prosperous future. With this organization. Thank you very much on behalf of all those with disabilities
The NFJC of WNY supports those who stand up for inclusion and tolerance, and calls out those who breed ignorance and intolerance. Sadly, their mission is more relevant and their work more critical than ever.

Over my four years of involvement with the NFJC I have raised my awareness of the issues in the WNY community with respect to tolerance and inclusion as well as how I can have a positive influence on my neighbors. The greatest impact has been with my family -- as a result of taking the opportunity to invite them to a variety of NFJC events perceptions of ethnic and racially diverse individuals has changed for the better.
