Mission: The national cowgirl museum and hall of fame honors and celebrates women, past and present, whose lives exemplify the courage, resilience, and independence that helped shape the american west, and fosters an appreciation of the ideals and spirit of self-reliance they inspire.
Programs: Museum - since it was established in 1975 the museum has become an invaluable education resource nationally known for its exhibits, research library, rare photography collection, and the honorees in its hall of fame.
the museum's video conferencing (distance learning) program allows students to virtually visit the museum, along with engaging in a correlated teks-aligned lesson. Programs are geared for ages k - 12, and cover science, math, social studies, history and art. These programs have been award-winning for their content and are also available for teacher professional development.
