I adopted a doberman pinscher from Muttshack. Once known as Cody now Koa! A great personality and a great pooch!

We Adopted Missy from Muttshack. Missy is doing great. Stitches out, tummy fine, received her 2nd round of shots. I got her a little raincoat when it rained the other day. By the time it rains again she will have outgrown it! The other pic is Missy in Puppy Basic Training. All prejudice aside, she was the star! Myself and three other family members were in attendance! Wishing Muttshack many blessings and much joy from Leela, Ray and Missy.
Carrie had her first visit to Vasquez Rocks and sheep herding lesson with Ted in Palmdale. While outside the pen, Carrie showed more interest in sampling sheep poop than the sheep that were across the pen. Ted said this is normal for puppies. Ted selected three sheep for Carrie and brought her in.
No question that Carrie is interested and has 'potential!' She 'came unglued' when she got close - began to chase 'em - Ted says she must be taught not to split the group - she took his instructions well - Ted asked me to observe that Carrie prefers to circle clockwise so we'll have to work more on the right. He seemed delighted in my new addition - says she's fine little Border collie.:-)
THANK YOU!
I was very happy with the service I got at Muttshack in Burbank. I was really happy to actually take home my dog that day. Especially when I came from Santa Ana. I adopted a Maltese yorkie mix. I named her Mollie. We're getting to know each other.
I started volunteering with Muttshack in September 2016, and continued from then on. The organization is absolutely incredible, with the most sweet and caring founders. Everyone there always caters to adopters’ needs and try their best to satisfy all who walk in, even just to take a look. The work they’ve gone through for hundreds of thousands of dogs is amazing and I couldn’t think of any other organization to be part of the family of.

Christina and I are so happy to have found little Sadie. Thank you for bringing her into our lives. She is SUPER smart (a little too smart) and has long since figured out how to use her powers of persuasion for mischief. :-) That said, we LOVE her so much!
Even though we just adopted “Etta” just 3 weeks ago, she’s adjusted well into our family. She’s got us all wrapped around her little (big) paw. Thanks, Muttshack!
They truly make a difference in this world. They are very friendly and make sure animals find good homes. They brought the love of my life into my world. Thank you MuttShack
Muttshack is awesome. We found Kylo two years ago at their adoption inside Petco Burbank. We had visited them a few times and saw their Facebook post one week and found our little guy. Their process for adopting a rescue is straight forward and they really do care about the animals. My father and sister have also adopted their dogs through MuttShack as well. Thank you Muttshack for all you do and helping us find a family member. Here are some photos of Kylo from when we saw the post as well as a recent pics of him now.
Our family adopted a German Shepherd puppy from Muttshack in March 2017 and it was such a great experience! From start to finish, the Muttshack volunteers were incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, and kind. Our puppy was happy, healthy, and well-behaved, and has grown into a wonderful and funny adolescent dog who enriches our lives every day. We are so grateful to Muttshack for giving us Vex, our newest family member!
We adopted our husky mix Nadine from Muttshack on Easter Sunday. When my daughter went to look, she came back running to tell me she had fallen in love and to get Nadine right away. Pictures cannot do justice to Nadine. She has the most stunning blue eyes against a black muzzle, a creamy base with black sable fur creating a black line running along her back and tail and the cutest paws ever! Moreover, she is the smartest and sweetest puppy ever! it was clear she was cared for and given immense amounts of love.
We are also delighted at Muttshack's mission. As we searched for a puppy, we were also so happy to know that by adopting from Muttshack, we are helping to prevent an overpopulation of animals, allowing owners to keep their dogs who have been spayed and returned healthy, and providing homes for the puppies!!
Thank you MuttShack!
My girlfriend, daughter and I visited Muttshack Adoption Day at Petco in Burbank one Saturday afternoon to "look" at puppies. I told the girls we should not go looking at dogs unless they were prepared to bring one home. They assured me we would only be looking because they did not want a dog. An hour later we loaded our new dog into the truck and drove happily home. Muttshack's Adoption operation was first rate. Organized and clean with a good selection of happy healthy small dogs and a capable staff on hand to answer questions and help with the adoption paperwork . Luna picked us out that day and has owned us ever since. Truth is she rescued us. She looked at us with soulful eyes and laid her head on my girlfriend's hand as it rested on the rail of the enclosure. Game over. We received our pet fully vaccinated and ready to travel with license in hand a starter kit of toys and food all for a reasonable price. We have remained in contact with Muttshack over the years. They are a valuable resource for veterinary referrals, behavioral consults and general guidance for pet owners. We recently took in a small Jack-Chi mix with the intention of fostering for later adoption. A relative moving out of the country asked us to look after the dog. Four months later it is clear Rascal is not going anywhere. He has nuzzled his way into our hearts and become a member of the family. Upon learning of our rescue Muttshack provided us with a voucher to have him "broken" at a local pet hospital. For the life of me I don't know why they call it "fixed". Seems to me his stuff was working fine until they plucked the berries from his tree. The voucher is just one of many ways Muttshack serves the pet community.

I volunteered with Muttshack in the days after Katrina and Gustav hit New Orleans. They were amazingly organized, and after Katrina, whipped up an animal shelter with no electricity or running water in the middle of nowhere and made it run beautifully. No animal was ever turned away.
Talk about dedication and resourcefulness. If I had to do it all over again, I would.
I adopted Mitzi from MuttShack several years ago and it changed my life. I cannot believe that my life could have existed without her.
But going back to my MuttShack experience. I was really afraid of taking on another pup. The staff at MuttShack told me to trust the process and "giver her a chance" for ten days. That was all I needed. I believe MuttShack has been giving dogs a chance by the hundreds as they are there without fail every weekend doing adoptions of rescued dogs that just need a chance.
We go back and visit from time to time, and we still remember the day she was sitting in a baby-crib, looking up hopefully. Yes, cribs! There are no crates. No little prisons for the pups, but gorgeous baby-cribs with pretty patterns with all the pups freshly groomed with sweet bows tied around their necks.
Thanks to MuttShack for changing our lives.
My husband and I adopted 2 Aussie puppies. We brought the girls home when they were 9 weeks old. Now they are a bit over 7 months. We love them dearly. The Muttshack staff were great during the adoption period and have been great for follow up. We love to keep them posted on their growth and progress.
Thank you Muttshack!
I've been with this group for many years. They are dedicated and do wonderful work. I am proud to be associated with this group.
Over all experience with Muttshack is unexplainable! They all work very hard to reach their goal which is all animals should find a home. When I first step in the room, it was a room filled with cute puppies in cribs. I thought that was a veryy smart idea instead of placing them in crates! They handle the puppies as if they are their precious babies. Muttshack is amazing, and I’m looking forward to see how far this organization will go. They are amazing!
My name is Marisa De La Torre and I started to volunteer at Mutthshack because I saw all my friends going. They always talked about how much fun it was and I needed service hours so I
thought lets give this a try. I began volunteering and have been volunteering for a couple months now. Through these past months I have gotten to see the dedication and hard work everyone puts into this foundation. Every single person there cares so much for the dogs and making sure they get adopted into the right homes. Everyone associated with Muttshack are like a family of people who are there to see dogs get adopted and start new and great lives. If anyone ever asked me where they should go to adopt a dog I would definitely recommend Muttshack.
What an amazing experience they help you so much give u all the inforfamtion u need and lost of choices !!!
Muttshack has been a great experience for me! I’m a volunteer and I love working with them! Working with Muttshack is not only having fun, but can be educational too! They go and rescue puppies in poverty and work loads of hours per week and it is an amazing transformation from before they rescue the puppies on how horrible conditions the liters are in, until they bring them in, it is outstanding! If you really are interested in saving a young life, heading Muttshack is the way to go!!
Muttshack is an amazing organization! Everyone that works with muttshack even the volunteers are commited on what they do!! Everyone is truly respectful and gives a lot of information to customers. They truly are commited to make sure all of the dogs that are up for adoption find amazing homes.
I have been donating to MuttShack for about six years now, and I have watched them just keep getting better. Their "Pups in Poverty" program is really helping to give dogs in dire situations a better life, as they feed, vaccinate, spay and neuter adult dogs wherever possible, while taking the unwanted litters into care, giving them medical attention, vaccinations, spaying and neutering them, and finding them good homes.
MuttShack works so hard to rescue and rehome puppies from dire circumstances, and they have built a very adoption friendly organization. I am so impressed that I donate regularly, and I don't even have a dog.
This is the rescue I adopted my beloved dog from, and I loved it so much that I became a volunteer for them. Every week they rescue puppies, give them medical attention and food, prepare them for adoption, and then find them forever homes. They also spay and neuter the parents whenever possible, helping to stop the population problem here in Los Angeles.
