I want to take this opportunity to tell you how great the Mosby Foundation is. I live on a small farm in Tennessee and have rescued many animals over the last 20 years and by the grace of God have been able to take care of them up until a few months ago. We have lost 2 of our horses and have a pup Amelia that has been diagnosed with a nasal carcinoma. As you can imagine our vet bills are piling up. We had exhausted almost everything in order to get Amelia the much needed radiation treatments that she needs to improve her quality of life and extend her years. I wrote to the Mosby Foundation and gave them our story and the nicest lady named Karin answered my request. After a short and painless process they are able to help us. I am so very grateful and thankful for all that they were able to do for us. They have answered our prayers!

The Mosby Foundation was there for me when I needed help with my dog’s knee surgery. Between my grandmother’s income and my teacher income, there would have been no way for us to get her the surgery that she desperately needed. It was because of their generosity that we were able to have our little Ruby for 7 more years with us, giving her a total of 14 years as our beloved family pet.
The people at The Mosby Foundation didn’t just help financially. They also called to check in on how she was doing after her surgery and demonstrated an actual interest in following her progress and even checking in on my elderly grandmother, who had worried so much about her beloved Ruby.
We will forever be thankful to this wonderful organization and recommend them often to friends who might need help with their own beloved pets. They truly care and do all they can to help so many animals and families.

I contacted the Mosby Foundation when my furbaby Derby was positive for heartworms. It was a total of
$1,100 for his treatment. My husband and I are both on disability and there was no way we could afford to have him treated. They contacted me the very next day and helped pay for part of his treatment. The lady I worked with was so nice and caring and made sure he was ok even after his treatment. I can't thank them enough for all their help! Pictures are of him and my youngest grandson who he absolutely adores

I am so grateful for The Mosby Foundation for helping contribute to my dog's Mast Cell Tumor surgery. It is thanks to their generosity I was able to worry less about how I was going to pay for the bill and focus more on taking care of my dog, who means more to me than anything in the whole wide world!!! Anyone who has fought cancer before knows timing is everything, The Mosby Foundation responded to my application the next day and within two days my grant was funded!!

Our pug Pudgy was diagnosed with Mast Cell cancer and had 9 tumors that needed to be removed. My wife and I were struggling to cover the cost of the operation. We reached out to The Mosby Foundation and they were able to help us save Pudgy's life and he made a full recovery. We have enjoyed almost 3 more years with our fur child and look forward to many more years to come thanks the kindness and generosity of The Mosby Foundation and all that they do.

Mosby Foundation helped us with our boxer, Sophie, after a tumor she had in her chest was removed and came back as high grade 2 MCT. We decided on chemo and dug into our savings. Mind you, this was Nov of 2020, so job security was not a thing for my husband and Sophie was only 5 years old - way too young to not to try to do what we could. So we decided buying a home would have to wait and dig into our savings. Mosby graciously secured funds to cover a round of chemo which we are forever grateful for.

Mast cell cancer is not a cancer that goes into remission, chemo slows the progression. Soph was given 6-12 months with chemo. The DX date was Sept 2020 and her final round of chemo was Feb 2021. I'm so glad we were able to have help paying for the chemo.

Today, Sophie is beating the odds! We are almost 3 years from dx and 2.3 years from last chemo round. Yes, her vet and oncologist are amazed. Mosby Foundation helped to give us the time with our baby girl that otherwise we wouldn't have had.

Snuggles is my 1st fur baby that I got as an adult. He was 3 months old when we got him and is now 13 years old and still spunky as ever. Until he wasn't. He started developing a bump on his rectum that we were watching for a while. It then began to grow rapidly and surgery was beginning to come up in conversations with our Vet. If the mass became too big, there was a possibility it would block his bowels from coming out so surgery was becoming our only option in the near future. However, after seeing a surgeon, financially being able to get the surgery was our next hurdle. I began applying to grants and assistance programs rather viciously. Sara at The Mosby Foundation reached out offering assistance! I really don't know how long we would have been able to hold out on surgery but Sara came in to rescue us! Sara was extremely pleasant to work with a very genuine with her concern with Snuggles. We are grateful and now Snuggles is back to being his pain free, mass free, comfortable self!

This organization is a Godsend! My baby Sadie, is my baby, my emotional support animal, and my world. I was so upset to learn my Sadie needed surgery to remove a mass on her chest, that cou)d possibly be cancer. I cannot work, due to my disabilities, and had no idea were to turn. Thats when I ran across the Mosby Foundation. I had almost given up hope, trying to get help. Thats when I received news that the Mosby Foundation was going to help me. These people walk you through everything every step of the way. Calls, emails, whatever you need, they are there 100%.Turns out, Sadie's tumor was just fat, no cancer, and everything went well. I would like to thank you for all that you have done for me. You kept my precious baby alive, and I will forever be in your gratitude. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, and God bless you all!

I can’t not thank Shannon Taylor and The Mosby Foundation enough for their support and contribution to my pups surgery . Louie went blind quickly from diabetic cataracts . The cost of surgery was more than I could afford . Being a nurse it pained me not being able to help my own pet have the best quality of life d/t financial issues. Shannon and her group stepped up and contributed , she also encouraged me to apply to numerous sites for assistance and I was able to obtain half of the needed funds from contributions!
Louie is back to his old self after successful surgery ! He can see well and is enjoying life again ! Best Christmas present ever for our family !

I want to thank the Mosby Foundation from the bottom of my heart for helping me save my dog Maxine. She was diagnosed with cancer and the Oncologist is very hopeful that the cancer treatment she's receiving now will allow her to be with me for another 2 years. This is so important to me because 7 years ago I was diagnosed with Parkinson's and just had Deep Brain Surgery 2 months ago. I found Maxine roaming the streets 10 years ago and she's been there for me during this difficult time in my life. Because of my disease I am unable to work and been on a fixed budget. If it wasn't for the Mosby Foundation giving me a generous donation to help me pay for her chemo I would have had to put her down. This was just too much to handle at this time and knowing there was something that could save her life with quality of life. Thank you Sara and everyone at the Mosby Foundation. God bless you all.

Im the owner of Archer, a 6 year old Fawn Boxer. He stopped eating and needed veterinary intervention. What was originally thought could have been lymphoma, ended up being the top piece of a Kong treat toy had gotten lodged in his stomach, a much better diagnosis but serious nonetheless. I was stressed beyond comprehension of how i could financially afford to safe my Best Friend. Dr. Reeder could sense how distraught I was and suggested reaching out to Mosby Foundation to see if they were able to provide assistance. They were able to donate 300 DOLLARS towards his surgery/recovery. A blessing in a dark time is beyond an understatement. I couldn't have afforded to save my Best Friend otherwise. Thank you all so much for your support! Archer is doing great and back to his rambunctious self. HIGHLY recommend this wonderful foundation.

These people are AMAZING! My rescue, Sassy, had a large mass on her front leg that needed surgery. Having just had heart surgery myself two months prior, I wasn't sure how I could afford it. I explained Sassy's story to them and they blessed us with a donation towards her surgery! She had the surgery today and it was a complete success! I cannot wait to watch her run and play with her big 'brother' Leon! It's all thanks to the Mosby Foundation stepping in to help me.
It's stressful enough when one of your fur babies needs major surgery and you're not in a position to pay for it. So God bless the Mosby Foundation for their thoughtfulness, their generosity and their love! Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!! :)

I have had my boy for the last 10 years and he has been with me 24/7 going up and down the East coast and meeting all potential clients until they day came where he literally became a Zombie almost overnight, he was there physically but mentally he was gone. After getting an MRI done we found a large mass in his skull pressing hard on the frontal lobe (hence the zombie part) which had also brought on seizures. I had about 2 weeks left with my boy before it became obvious he was either going to die from seizure complications or be put down....an option I obviously was not ready to handle.
I desperately began reaching out in every direction with the hope that somehow I could find the funds to keep my shadow next to me a little longer.
The Mosby foundation was the only one to step in to offer help. I am not the type that likes to ask for financial help from anyone and this situation tested that problem considerably but they understood this and did not judge. They obviously have been set up by someone that loves animals because their demeanor in their communication is always sincere and compassionate .
Their help was a small but very, very appreciated portion in the mountain of costs that I suddenly have but I look at it this way - In the time that he has been with me he has, on more than one occasion, given me the focus & desire to keep fighting and live so I feel it is only right that I do whatever I need to do now to return that favor.
After talking to numerous people over the years about pets that have been lost the one comment that always came up was the wish that they could just have one more day with their beloved pet to play with them & just love on them just one more time and it turned out that after a gifted brain surgeon got his hands on him I have been able to say that I more than happily have gotten my one more day.

I just want to share my experience regarding the help that the Mosby Foundation blessed us with.....I am on a fixed income and could have never been able to help my beautiful sweet great dane Teferi to get the surgery he needed for a huge cancerous growth in his mouth which was painful and hindering him to eat...I was so distraught for I had no idea how I was going to pay for the surgery that he so needed ....I have no family nor friends that were able to donate anything through the go fund me site that I had posted thru numerous sites...what was I going to do...just sit here and watch him whittle away and suffer?...well I brainstormed and reached out to numerous foundations for help....I did get a couple of foundations to respond and we were grateful but the amounts were small and not enough to for his surgery... The Mosby Foundation stepped in and got the ball rolling with a very generous contribution which gave us a running start...with this donation and my generous neighbors we were able to come up with the entire amount needed for Teferi's surgery which was successful...I cannot express how grateful we are...and my baby was able to eat and gain his weight back....I also want everyone to know how professional and concerned the staff were also very expedient with the whole process...I keep thinking that if ever I could help in any way possible I would bend over backwards to help this foundation in return ...thank you for being there for us and saving my baby....I love Teferi so much ...he is my heart and brings my soul happiness....when I open my eyes upon waking up each day and the first thing I see is his happy wag and sweet face it pushes me to get up and going....I have numerous health issues and Teferi is my rescue....Thank You So Much Mosby Foundation...you saved the both of us.....I am enclosing before and after photos...may be disturbing to some

I adopted my senior, Trudy with limited vision and a can-do attitude. When I learned she would need her eye removed, I did not know how I would manage it. I had lost 2 dogs less than a year before and both required expensive emergency treatment which left me with huge credit card bills. I started to research funding and found the Mosby Foundation. They were so kind and helpful, and gave us a generous grant which helped me tremendously to help my little Trudy. Her glaucoma eye came out and she was the belle of the ball once again. I had nick-named her Trudy Blue Eyes at the start of our life together, but it soon changed to "Trudy Magoo" and I couldn't love her more. I have applied too a huge number of organizations like this and The Mosby Foundation was one of the few that got back to me right away and followed through with what they said they were going to do. I had been through two surgeries for one dog and then suddenly my other almost died from kidney cancer. It was very traumatic. I did not know about all the help there is out there, nor did I really have the time to search as both situations came on very suddenly. Now I know.

So being deeply in debt from saving my babies (who are both doing AWESOME!) and having a low income has left me in a state of panic. Even with the online fundraiser I started it only made a dent in our expenses. And now I am having health issues of my own leaving me unable to work a normal schedule. I still had minor procedures that needed to be done for the dogs and because they weren't urgent not a lot of groups could consider help. The folks at the Mosby Foundation were so nice and even though they were only able to help a bit I was so incredibly grateful. Every penny counts at this point. I will continue to spread the word about the Mosby Foundation through my dogs' Facebook page with the hope of gaining some exposure for this wonderful organization!

Thank You Mosby!!!

I have two of the most precious Cocker Spaniels that were rescued during Hurricane Katrina and they are very very dear to me. They are the sweetest babies and now at 9 years old are having some issues with skin growths

I was nervous about growths at this age and so I took them to Angels of Assisi and both of them need these growths gone and one also needs dental work.

Anyone who has two dogs knows how expensive this can be, but when you are on a fixed income like I am it is hard. I need to do what is right for them.

That is where The Mosby Foundation came in. Jeanie at Assisi recommended I contact them rather than waiting and not having my girls taken care of.

Karin at Mosby was kind and considerate and didn't make me feel uncomfortable and when she let me know that both my babies could be taken care of with a small amount that I could afford on my part, I was so happy.

My Shamrock and Clover survived one of the worst Hurricanes any two puppies would have to go through due to the efforts of the rescue teams and Soulful Hearts that took them in and put them up for fostering.

Now, another wonderful agency, The Mosby Foundation is helping to keep them well.

Thank you is just not enough to say!

We rescued our Zoe at the age of 2, she is now 10, she has always had constant ear infections, she is a cocker spaniel and we quickly found out that this very common with this breed. She eventually got to the point where she now is in need of a TECA operation (total ear canal oblation), the cartilage in her ear has begun to calcify. Zoe is at high risk due to the fact she went into respiratory arrest after having a teeth cleaning and a tooth removed and because of her age. The operation will be approximately $6500 to $7000 to have both ears done. We could not come up with this amount of money on our own. I searched on line and found some organizations that could possibly help, The Mosby Foundation was the first to respond, I have dealt with Karin Magno thru this whole process, she has been soooo helpful! She in detail explained everything to us and was able to give me other ideas to work on more funding. She was also very patient thru all of this, she kept in touch with us and helped us to get approved! Our Family adopted 5 year old Libby from a shelter in Michigan. We instantly fell in love with her. 3 Weeks later, she started having bloody noses. We tried our hometown vets with various treatments, only to be sent to Michigan State University to have a scope done on her nose and various other tests costing $2,500.00!!!! They thought she may have aspergillosis, a fungal infection that would cost $2,500-3,000 MORE to treat. We didn't have the money. So, I started applying to anyone I could think of to help our poor Libby. The Mosby Foundation came to our rescue and raised money to help us with Libby's treatment. They were so kind and caring. I would like to tell you how AMAZING The Mosby Foundation is... I have a 18mon old Shih-Tzu Tibetan Spaniel who was diagnosed with a rare condition but very critical Alanto-Axial. My little little boy Hachi could not stand on his own to eat, drink or even potty without falling forward. Hachi has been on Prednisone & Tramadol 3xs a day to keep him comfortable & not in pain. After spending every penny in so many test from his regular vet then to a Neurologist Specialist, then off to UC davis Vet we go, it is their where we learned the severity of Hachi's condition & that he needed surgery ASAP. UC Davis sent us home with a complete list of Organizations that could help us, I started calling in tears pleading help, filling out applications, sending in Diagnoses & estimate- with no answer from MANY, the ones that did answer did not fund in my are others had no funding. On my deepest moment of heart ache & wanting to give up I received a call from Karin, she has been my family & Furbabies ANGEL, what would we have done without The Mosby Foundation's help. My family is forever in debt with The Mosby Foundation the have saved my furbabies life & how do you repay someone for this... My Family Is Forever Grateful To The Mosby Foundation & most of all Karin for taking the time to call me & lusten to Hachi's story & find it in her heart to help my little boy get his surgery & give my family the chance to see our furbaby finally live a pain free life... I have had my Golden Retriever for 11 1/2 years. He had what I thought and was told was a pollop. When I took him in for a second opinion the doctor said it was a tumor. I contacted the Mosby Foundation and they not only helped me out financially to get Sam, my golden, the care he needed ...they also referred me to other organizations I was not aware of that also helped. Sam has been recovering for the past 2 weeks and I go to remove the sutures today. The Mosby Foundation is one of the Great organizations out there that believe animals are very important. Their help has given me my companion for a few more years. Knock on wood.
The staff at the Mosby Foundation also helped to correspond with the hospital. For some reason...labor in this country has gone to hell. They do what is right in front of them..or hardly even do that. Still the staff at Mosby came through and made it happen.

Thanks so much Karin and all the rest.

As an animal advocate and rescuer myself I never envisioned myself as the one in need. I suddenly found myself in a state of desperation when my 10 yr old sharpei mix Zoey girl was diagnosed with diabetes and only because she developed hyper mature diabetic cataracts in less than 3 weeks. Yes thats right she had a full check up 3 weeks before she went completely blind. Zoey was my right hand when it came to rescue dogs because she was gentle yet firm in helping teach the fosters and rescues how to behave and accept human contact and rules within the house. When she was no longer able to see she was terrified!!! and to be honest so was I. The cost of removal dropped me to my knees literally close to 5000$ was the estimate. I applied to 10 groups begging and appealing for help on behalf of my girl because I didn't have the financial means to help her and I was guilt ridden because as her human it was my responsibility to fix her. I had never been unable to financially take care of my animals. The MOSBY FOUNDATION is the ONLY group that was willing to help me. Not only did they want to help me they were compassionate and wanted to understand Zoeys story and purpose in this life. They set up a fundraiser and raised the full amount, I contributed what I could but in the grand scheme of things was not much at all. ONLY because of Carole with the MOSBY FOUNDATION is my girl able to see and continue to help me rehabilitate abandoned, abused, and neglected fosters to this day. There are no words great enough to thank someone for the gift of sight! The MOSBY FOUNDATION gave her that gift when I couldn't!! When Zoey came out to see me after her surgery she cried and whined and barked and wagged her entire body thanking me for fixing her BUT it wasn't me that fixed her, It was the MOSBY FOUNDATION! I am grateful everyday for the kindness and compassion that was shown to me in order to help my Zoey girl see again, I think of them every single day when I watch her catch her treats in the air! I LOVE YOU CAROLE and will never forget what you did for my girl!!! This group is not only caring but real and compassionate for all breeds and all illness!

I actually found out about The Mosby Foundation when I was involved with a rescue organization. The Mosby Foundation helped finance the medical care of a dog that was in really bad shape. Since then I have kept in touch and followed The Foundation, and see the work that they are involved in and am a big supporter! The Mosby Foundation cares about the well being of all animals as well as the people that love them!

I rescued a 12yr old Yorkie from the SPCA 1 year ago. I initially took him home to "foster." He was in terrible condition and in desperate need of love. He had lost some teeth, his hair was gone off the back part of his body, & he had severe allergies.

After only a few days he had a grand mal seizure. I had never witnessed these before and it scared me to death. One week later he had another one. I knew that if I returned him to the SPCA they would euthanize him. I was not going to let that happen! I am 62yrs old, disabled, & none of us know what shape we will get in before we leave this world. So, I adopted him, took him to see my vet, and got him started on Phenobarbital to control the seizures.

About a month ago he started wheezing really bad. I took him to the vet and she started him on prednisone, antibiotics, benadryl, & did some blood work. She told me there was very bad infection in his mouth & it could be draining into his lungs. She said they needed to remove his remaining teeth & gave me an estimate of almost $500.00.

I knew I could not afford to pay for this on my income. My neice recomended I contact The Mosby Foundation. They were amazing! Not only did they help my baby, they also called the vet & got the charges reduced & his take home meds donated.

I am so grateful for their help and would recommend them to anyone. They are so caring, efficent, & quick to take care of the problem. They also do a follow up call to check on your pet which was very impressive, as well.

Me and my little man are so happy to have found them!

Thank You, so much!

I am a foster for a local rescue and had recently rescued and was fostering this great lab mix named Lady. She is a wonderful girl and we felt that she would quickly get adopted into her forever home. But before she could be adopted we had to treat intestinal parasites and also heartworms, plus the usual updating medical records. On top of that she was limping and that ended up being a torn ACL. All of these expenses were a hardship on a small local rescue and me, the foster. Our vet recommended a few foundations to notify for help. The Mosby Foundation answered the pre-application quickly and Karin was great. The Mosby Foundation was able to help with a donation for Lady's surgery and our vet received this as soon as the surgery was done. Karin with the Mosby Foundation was a very compassionate, understanding and great person to deal with. I was very pleased with the outcome. Thanks, Karin.

On Mother's Day, our neighbor flagged us down asking if we had seen this white dog that had been hanging around for a few days. We had not, but in that very moment, the dog came trotting up. She had a lemon-sized mammary mass, but appeared otherwise healthy. We named her Sophie, and she is just about the nicest dog a person could ask for. She has not put a single paw wrong. If any dog deserved a chance at a good life, this one sure did. We were not, however, in a position to pay for her surgery. Mosby helped with a grant towards her care, and gave us other very good suggestions to pursue to raise money and awareness so that we could get this mass removed. We were feeling very much in over our heads, but their assistance was invaluable and helped us feel much better about proceeding into this health adventure with Sophie. They were quick in their response once we got our application submitted. Sophie had her surgery and she now gets to live her life without that massive tumor hanging from her belly. Thank you, Mosby Foundation, for your kindness and assistance for this awesome stray dog!

I was devastated when I discovered a lump on my sweet little baby girl CeCe . I took her to her veterinarian and as he began to tell me that she has an unusual mass and it needs to be removed as soon as possible , I was going through some very difficult times financially and I just knew I was unable to afford the surgery, but how could I just let my baby girl suffer like that she has been such a god sin to me and came into my life during the tragedy of loosing my mother to cancer , she brought me out of a sever depression and gave me my will to go on and I was determined I was going to give her live back .I was referred to the Mosby Foundation for financial help with CeCe surgery , they were so compassionate and gave me the help I needed. I am happy to say CeCe had her surgery and the diagnosis is good . She has a chance to live a long healthy life thanks to the Mosby Foundation.

My Experience with the Mosby Foundation has been one of the best experiences i've had with a foundation. Stacy has been there for me the whole time and has been very supportive through this whole thing. I adopted my pup Sprocket at 5 weeks old. He had a horrible puphood and when i got him he couldn't really walk and was blind in one eye. After time he has received all of his vision back and was able to walk. We knew that he was going to be a special needs dog so we were able to get him doggie insurance. Unfortunately we noticed him limping after a dog park run. We took him to our local vet and were told that he had a torn ACL. Of course our insurance wouldn't cover it. The Mosby foundation was able to give us a donation straight to our Vet office. Every little bit helps and we appreciate it. Sprocket's surgery is set for this Thursday 2/13/14.

We adopted a puppy about 3 weeks ago. When we got her the owners informed us that she possibly had a respiratory infection. After a trip to our vet we found out, after much investigating, that she had been hit by a car over 5 months earlier. Her heavy breathing was caused by a hernia which had caused her intestines, liver and spleen to be pushing on her lungs and heart. Surgery was the only resort. Without the help of the Mosby Foundation surgery would not have been possible. They assisted financially and offered to take any other donations on Spirits behalf. Until now I didn't even know this kind of help was possible. They were precise, quick to respond and concerned.

Oh my, can I find the words to convey how I feel towards The Mosby Foundation? Truly, a God send...I feel so fortunate for receiving the financial gift they have given. Without assistance I would not be able to afford the cost of my dog Bailey having surgery.
I had just lost her dad to splenic cancer just one month and one day prior to her being diagnosed with canine osteosarcoma. Devastated to hear this news, followed by a hope when we learned it had not yet metastasized, then suddenly the hope was washed away upon hearing the estimated cost of amputation. The realization I could not provide her with the care she needed was heartbreaking. My Bailey-boo, she's been there for me when no one else was and now she needed me and I couldn't help her. That is untll a little diligence led me to The Mosby Foundation.
Karin was so helpful and provided further resources for help~so personable and I could hear her sincerity in her voice over the phone. It was very comforting to feel heard, understood and given hope.
The first to respond with assistance, Bailey is scheduled for her surgery tomorrow. What an amazing gift.

My Jack Russell, Bentley was born deaf. He has lived his life with great zest, joy and confidence. On the verge of going blind, he is not accepting this without difficulty. He is confused and often cannot sleep at night. He is accepting of all the medication he takes, which is a lot. Only one time so far, did he squeeze his eyes so tightly closed refusing to take the medicine. He relented and is full of hope. I tell him to hang in there, wonderful people are coming together to help us. And they are! The Mosby Foundation has been our only hope. He is my toddler and it has been painful to watch this happening to him. What a wonderful thing to know, that the Mosby Foundation exists. And everyone that I have told about this wonderful and kind organization, has a warm wonderful feeling come over them upon hearing it. I believe based on the kind of soul Mosby was, he feels great pleasure in knowing the loss of his short wonderful life was not in vain, it was the reason for the Mosby Foundation. As kind as he was, it is fitting that his life would be the reason so many other dogs have been so helped. I believe there is a Doggy Heaven. And I believe all the good folks involved with the Mosby Foundation have earned their special spot in Heaven too.

Lyrah is a two year old Lab Coonhound Mix. She was born with a birth defect that caused her to grown an inverted Vulva. This caused many months to a year of pain and non stop bladder infections. She was constantly on medication and even then was not getting any relief or cure from them. Not only did she have the infections but she also had stomach issues and anxiety due to the infections. Lyrah had to have the skin cut out from vulva for her to have even a little relief. She had the surgery done and was sent home and since then we have had one infection and only a few stomach problems! Lyrah was the only one out of 12 girls in her litter to have this condition. Lyrah's procedure was called a Vulvoplasty. This is where they take excess skin away from the vulva to expose it. Lyrah had about 6 inches of skin cut out from her vulva and her buttocks. Within 1 month the stitches were removed and the skin began to heel. On estimate Lyrah would have to go pee pee about 20 times a day when a normal dog would go 3-4 times a day. Lyrah still pee pees alot but has more relief she goes about 8-10 times a day now. Before the procedure Lyrah would scream and yelp when she had to pee and when she was peeing. Sometimes she would feel like she was peeing but nothing was actually coming out. You could tell she was very confused and stressed out, she always looked scared and would whine and sit by the door. I was very patient and understanding with her she is my baby so I would let her out everytime she rang the bell and sometimes that was 15 times in 30 minutes! Before the procedure Lyrah would be in the vets office 2-3 times a month it got so expensive with me being a teenager. Now after the Vulvoplasty Lyrah has been vet free for 3 months!!! Thank you So much for paying for this procedure without The Mosby Foundation she probably would still have pain and discomfort. Thank you also for paying to have her on IV fluids that was very sweet and even though it was unnecessary and wasn't a complete need i didnt have to worry about my baby getting dehydrated I really do appreciate that from the bottom of my heart! Finally my baby knows what it is like to not have that discomfort that she has had since birth.

They were there to help me financially and emotionally through something I never thought I would have to deal with. When my 8-year-old Border Collie rescue, Demi, tore her ACL last summer (2012) , I was in the middle of my own health crisis and had no idea how I could pay for her surgery. I spent everything I had on her diagnosis and testing for Cushing's Disease.

She limped around for almost two months while I tried an online fundraiser, selling homemade dog treats, a bake sale and selling my collectible items. I still didn't have enough money. I had applied to the Mosby Foundation before starting all my fundraisers and thank God, they called and said they were funding the rest of what I had not been able to raise! I scheduled her surgery immediately, in October of 2012 and soon she was back to her old self again.

Because of Cushing's, she tore her other ACL in April 2013. I had just had back surgery one week before. Again, I started fundraising and called Mosby to update them on her situation. They were able to give Demi some funding toward this surgery as well, which along with a loan from a relative, allowed us to get her necessary surgery in May 2013.

Now, four months later, she is walking for up to one hour, even having the energy to hike some hills! We still have to keep a close eye on her blood levels for Cushing's medications, but she is enjoying life again!

Best of all, we were finally able to fulfill our therapy dog dream and are now regularly visiting the veterans at our local VA Hospital.

THANK YOU, MOSBY FOUNDATION!

I had just adopted my German Shepherd Dakota to find the next day when I took him to the vet because he was limping. I found he needed a very expensive surgery due to his hip joint being completely out of the socket and if he did not have this surgery he would have to be euthanized because he was in constant pain. I couldn't afford the surgery and the vet was not willing to work out a payment arrangement. I contacted every vet I could think of without any luck. I was desperate to save him and that's when I found the Mosby Foundation that helped save my beautiful Dakota. Karin kept in constant contact with me and helped me find ways to get him neutered, vaccinations, surgery at a much lower cost as well as donated for his surgery. She has since then kept in contact about his well being. Thanks to the Mosby Foundation and Karin for caring my Dakota is now one a happy boy never to be abused again. His surgery was a complete success and he is still healing but now not in constant pain, can now roll over and sleep on his back and his right side which he was unable to do. He also is able to run and play !! The Mosby Foundation made this possible and I will always remember them when I am able to donate because they sure came to the rescue for Dakota as well as myself !!

I had taken in a stray that someone dropped off in the neighborhood. Allie was suffering from severe gum disease. I took her to a vet in Waynesboro, VA and it was going to cost roughly 1200.00 to treat her for this. I talked to Karin and she helped me find a low cost clinic in Richmond that would do the work for 218.00. Mosby even helped me with half that cost. If it hadn't been for Karin at Mosby I wouldn't have known about this clinic in Richmond, VA. Karin was very nice and helpful through the whole process. I would definitely recommend Mosby to anyone.
