Nonprofit Overview

Causes: Health, Patient & Family Support

Mission: The Me-One Foundation was established to help adult cancer patients and their families escape the every day challenges of life with cancer. Cancer treatment is expensive and families frequently have to give up the family vacation to afford the cost of cancer care. We aim to bring back the family weekend away when these cancer families need it most.

I have been honored to be a camp host for Me-One the last 6 years! I cannot begin to express how much this camp does for families fighting the battle with cancer! An all expenses paid weekend in the beautiful Santa Cruz mountains where the patients and their families are able to put aside the worries and concerns or their daily life and enjoy their time together! I have met so many courageous people over the years, some still with us and some not. But every family has always told us how much they valued the time spent at camp.

The Me-One Foundation and Camp Challenge are an experience like none other. Cancer is a deamon most of us have come in contact with in some way in our lives. However, we can fight it and fight it together which is what Me-One is all about. And we can have fun while we do it. Camp Challenge brings together cancer families from all over Northern California to enjoy a free weekend away from disease. It is all about hope, laughter, smiles, and fun. Put your cancer aside for a weekend and come to Camp Challenge with your family or friends.
