Nonprofit Overview
Mission: The Magic Woods is a nonprofit public television series based in Pittsburgh, with a mission to make a lasting, positive, educational, entertaining and environmentally conscious contribution to children's nature programming. The Magic Woods builds on Pittsburgh's historical commitment to children. Through the use of traditional and new media technologies, as well as community outreach endeavors, The Magic Woods seeks to inspire young children (ages 2-8) and their families to venture outdoors and to explore and appreciate the many natural wonders right outside their door. Although The Magic Woods television series targets a national audience, The Magic Woods has built many strong partnerships in the community and focuses its outreach endeavors on the young children and families of Southwestern Pennsylvania.
