The Lucky Foundation is a highly effective and impactful nonprofit organization that is making a real difference in the lives of those in need. One of the key strengths of the Lucky Foundation is its laser-focus on a few core initiatives where it can have the greatest impact. Rather than spreading itself thin across many different causes, the organization concentrates its resources and expertise on areas like improving education outcomes, and empowering children of first responders.
What sets the Lucky Foundation apart is its data-driven, evidence-based approach. The organization rigorously evaluates the effectiveness of its programs and is constantly iterating to maximize its impact. This commitment to continuous improvement and accountability is highly admirable and ensures donor funds are being used as efficiently and effectively as possible.
Another hallmark of the Lucky Foundation is its strong partnerships with local organizations and community leaders in the regions it serves. This collaborative model allows the organization to deeply understand the unique needs and challenges of each community and tailor its solutions accordingly. The Lucky Foundation's focus on empowering local stakeholders is a key reason for its sustained success.
Overall, the Lucky Foundation is a shining example of what a high-performing nonprofit can achieve. Its combination of strategic focus, data-driven decision making, and community-centric approach makes it a charity that donors can feel great about supporting. I highly recommend considering the Lucky Foundation for your charitable giving.
A great nonprofit to be associated with. A truly passionate individual who is my friend and CEO is an inspiring individual who is very patient and works closely to bring each one of us together to stand up this organization. We learn a lot from each other and help contribute to the very mission/vision of TLF - "Honor the fallen, empower communities, preserve the legacy of service. LET UNITED COMPASSION KEEP YOU."
If you are looking for a meaningful way to give back to our society, I would invite you very much to join us.
It was an honor meeting Kristina and seeing the amount of time and hard work she puts into this non profit! She was very inspiring, and I will definitely be working with this foundation again!
The Lucky Foundation has a crew with hearts of gold. Their passion for helping others shines through in everything they do and they are changing the way we care for families of fallen heroes.
The Lucky Foundation has been absolutely lovely to volunteer with! All of the teams have diverse backgrounds and skills, making the collaborative effort all the more vibrant. Kristina's passion is inspiring to all the foundation's volunteers and has led to so much positive impact. My own family has a long history of military service, so I'm very grateful to be able to give back to communities and families with the same shared experiences and legacy. I'm looking forward to being a part of what comes next with The Lucky Foundation!
I have had the pleasure of being in the presence of some of the board members for this organization. Seeing their passion in their efforts to help others is inspiring to say the least. It just takes one to make a difference, to create a spark that others want to follow. Their mission and reach is amazing. Great leadership and mission. I cannot wait to see all they will do in the future! God bless you all for carrying the torch in honor of our fallen.
I have been around the Lucky Foundations group and team for quite a while. Their commitment to their cause is inspiring and compels those they come in contact with to do more to reach outside of themselves and help others who haven’t been as fortunate as they have.
Fantastic, caring and loving foundation. Wonderful to see a platform that truly works. Thank you LUCKY FOUNDATION
The Lucky Foundation is made up of people that really care! They have such great commitment to the cause and seeing this first hand gives me so much faith in their support if my family ever needed the services they organize. My son is in law enforcement, my daughter and son in law are in the Navy, and my daughter in law is an EMT/Firefighter... it’s comforting knowing The Lucky Foundation would be there for my grandchildren in the event of tragedy. There can never be enough people on stand by ready to step in if necessary and I’m so glad The Lucky Foundation and its supporters have the heart and commitment to be ready and waiting.
We can't express how much we appreciate your dedication to servicing the community. The Lucky Foundation sets a terrific example for everyone with your service efforts. Your commitment to your work is admirable. I admire the way you come through and keep giving for the betterment of all!
With all our gratitude,
The Distinctive D.O.L.L.S of Houston: Houston's Finest SP&C Org.
The Lucky Foundation’s mission is one that speaks volumes from the heart and impacts so much more. That’s why I joined the organization as a volunteer and donate too. The leadership is amazing - wholeheartedly committed to seeing its mission served and with the highest regard for scholarship recipients, participants, donors, and board members. I look forward to the greatness to come!
There are so many ways that we can honor our fallen heroes, their families, and their sacrifice.
The Lucky Foundation has developed a program that encompasses assistance to all service branches. Today they are working to extend assistance toward the support of of ongoing remembrance, grievance support, and so much more. It is important that we honor our fallen heroes at all levels and more importantly honor them by giving help to their loved ones. Community involvement is essential and is a great way to support those heroes and their families.
It is during times like these that I am both humbled and honored to be a part of such a talented and motivated team of trailblazers who are dedicated to making such an impact throughout the nation. It is often said that your calling is what you are made for. The unstoppable mindset which each participant upholds toward their vision of enriching the communities around them is truly an inspiration. It is a blessing working hand in hand with everyone involved –the founding members, board of directors, advisory board, sponsors, donors, and volunteers - for together we can and will accomplish many amazing things.
The Lucky Foundation was initially founded to empower the youth of fallen United States Military and First Responders. We wanted to develop a program that would wrap our wings around all service branches: law enforcement; firefighters, fire service; military, federal agents, park rangers, wildlife officers, border patrol; search and rescue, EMT and medical personnel; dispatchers, tow truck drivers; as well as correctional officers. I personally can trace family roots back to every branch listed above, so this is a cause that I am quite passionate about. Today we are working to extend our campaigns toward the support of holidays, birthdays, ongoing remembrance, grievance support, and more. It is important that we honor our fallen heroes at a national level, a local level, and a personal level. Community involvement is essential in recognizing the sacrifice. However, it also allows families to pass down the message of commitment to the country, as well as lessons in honor, integrity, and sacrifice to younger generations.
There are so many ways that we can honor our fallen heroes, their families, and their sacrifice. From volunteering to donating, we can individually pay our respects for those that fight for our rights and our freedom, help protect our families from harm, and gave the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. For that we owe them our lives.
“We grieve because we love. How lucky we are to have experienced that love.”
Each new day brings significant challenges on the operations of nonprofit organizations – as well as leadership teams. Without question, our unstoppable leaders rise to these challenges with ingenuity, compassion, resilience, fortitude, and integrity. However, in times like these, our leaders need the masses to stand shoulder-to-shoulder, and we encourage you to stand with us - to take action.
What Can You Do?
Give unrestricted general operating support dollars now. Consider accelerating the payment of multi-year pledge payments. You also can also release restrictions on previously made gifts.
Give online to The Lucky Foundation if you have been unable to attend previously planned events. During this unprecedented time, our organization has pivoted to virtual fundraising strategies while struggling to reach our fundraising goals without being able to host our largest fundraising events throughout the Nation.
Stock Gift Donations – give a contribution in the form of stocks of a corporation.
Give even if you are concerned about the volatility in the stock market and the impact on your investment portfolio. While we understand concerns such as these, we also recognize that it is a privilege to have an investment portfolio as a source of income and financial security. Today is the rainy day you were saving for – the families lives that we touch may have just lost everything.
Charitable Donations – if the gift exceeds an amount of $250.00, it is considered a charitable donation.
In-Kind Donations - When the gifts come in the form of goods and services: When gifts are given in the form of goods, it has a monetary value, and thus the receipt can be used for tax purposes. Whereas if the gift is in the form of a service, it is not tax-deductible. In the case of goods received as gifts, their value is determined by the donor and not the nonprofit.
Be vocal advocates for our nonprofit sector. Many of the families affected by the loss of their Fallen Hero cannot recover if the nonprofit sector is not specifically included as part of all relief and recovery efforts. More needs to be done to ensure that nonprofit organizations can maintain operating levels, pivot to address new and increasing demands, and prevent losses resulting from the discontinuation of programs. We need to encourage more charitable giving with a universal charitable deduction, and nonprofit organizations need direct grants to provide services and loans to maintain operations.
Give regardless of the tax deductibility of your gift. Your generosity in any capacity is greatly appreciated.
