Mission: The mission of The Literacy Council of Sarasota, Inc., a not-for-profit educational organization, is building a more literate community by helping adults and families improve English language communication skills through personalized, needs-based tutoring.
Target demographics: Improve literacy in our community through one-on-one and small group instruction.

Programs: Programs: Adult Basic Literacy, ESOL (English as a Second Language) and Workplace Literacy programs. Services include one-on-one tutoring, assessments, pre-GED, citizenship preparedness, conversational classes, custom workplace classes, volunteer training, support and materials.
