Mission: The junior league of greater princeton is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable.
Programs: The junior league of greater princeton's community service projects focus on the welfare and empowerment of women and children, through activities focused on childhood nutrition and quality of life, better employment outcomes for women in mercer county, and literacy with an emphasis on science and math. The children's initiative works to improve the quality of life of mercer county's at risk children through food and clothing drives, nutrition education, and enrichment experiences.
on an annual basis, the jlgp community grants program awards grants to help fund non-profit organizations located in the service area, which have a one-time need of goods or services for a specific program or purpose related to early childhood education and literacy. Also, the jlgp awards voluntarism scholarships annually to female high school seniors in the service area who have demonstrated a strong commitment to community service and voluntarism.
