I've truly enjoyed my experience each year with the Junior League of Cobb-Marietta. I spent 3 years on the committee for our fundraiser event, the Marietta Mardi Gras Fun Run & Walk. Through that experience I was able to learn a ton about how a non-profit works, how a fundraising event is organized, and meet people from a variety of businesses within the community. Now in my new role as VP of Communications I'm developing many new skills with technology! I've found friendships, made community connections, developed communication and planning skills, and found an impactful avenue for giving back. What a great group of women!
The Junior League of Cobb-Marietta (JLCM) is celebrating its 85th year in existence and is still making a huge impact in the lives of women and children in Cobb County, Georgia. The women of the league have donated thousands of coats to support Operation Warmth, as well as diapers to support Cobb Diaper Day and feminine hygiene products in support of our project called It's a Girl Thing. This is in addition to providing thousands of volunteer hours to our community. It's a great group of women who support each other and our community too.
