The Hopi Foundation has helped many individuals like myself to become a successful community member in my village. After receiving a small Micro Grant from The Natwani Coalition under the Hopi Foundation. This grant has helped me to start a small project which will help me to help others.
The Hopi Foundation is an excellent resource for the Hopi people through a variety of programs that fall under the umbrella of this fantastic non-profit organization. I am proud of the heart-work the staff provides through their various activities and services to the local community members, which are culturally infused with the values of Hopi.
I was born in Denver, Colorado, but my father is from Hotevilla. As a kid, I'd spend summers there with my so'oh and qua'ah. As I grew older, I had much less opportunity to visit the rez, and my best way to stay connected and hear what is going on is through the KUYI Hopi Public Radio. So, that's where I choose to give my support. I've donated to the Adopt-a-Watt program as well as the Live Feed donation request. Without the Hopi Foundation's support of the FUYI radio station I'd feel completely disconnected. This way I keep up with what's going on back home and I share that info with my two (now adult) children. And we are all registered members of the Hopi Nation. The Hopi Foundation plays an extremely important role in keeping not just the Hopis at home but those of us that live off the reservation. Thank you!
Everyone from the foundation that I met at the Suminungwa Festival was very friendly, welcoming and informative. I would like to aim a special shout-out to Randall Mahle, who made me feel like we’d been friends for a long time. In a way, it’s kind of true. I've listened to KUYI whenever I was passing rough the region for years, but now, thanks to the station's web presence, I can hear it anytime I want at home here in California. I hope the foundation can continue its great work for a long, long time to come.
I have worked with the Hopi Foundation since the late 1980s as an advisor, subject-specific expert (in building conservation), and friend. I have remain engaged with and committed to the Hopi Foundation for one reason: it lives up to its mission in an incredibly intentional manner to empower its communities and individuals. By example, the Hopi Foundation has informed and inspired First Nations nationwide. Personally, engagement with the Hopi Foundation continues to inform my international work, too.
All of the Hopi Foundation staff whom I have met are devoted to their culture and are genuinely invested in doing all that they can to support and empower their community. Grassroots community leadership like theirs is what truly drives and sustains positive change! I am in awe of all their successful programs and profoundly grateful for all their work. I recommend them wholeheartedly. Askwali!
KUYI has truly been the best for the Hopi People and for others listening out there around the world! Not only do we enjoy listening to the variety of music, but they help inspire everyone to get involved whether it's the youth, others who may be needing program resources, or by keeping up to date with what is occuring locally and globally. KUYI is truly a positive step toward Native/Indigenous future!
The Hopi Foundation consistently delivers intentional and invaluable services to support Hopi tribal members. The diverse programs administered collectively advance self-determination and uplift cultural traditions to ensure Hopi are visible and empowered to carry ancestral practices with future generations.
The Hopi Foundation gives me the opportunity to stay in tune with what is happening in the community. I am so grateful that they exist to keep us grounded.
The Hopi Foundation provides culturally specific supportive services to the Hopi community. The Hopi Foundation creates opportunities for community members to pursue personal and community wide success. The team brings generations of cultural wealth together through the interweaving of the tribe’s rich history and its passion to build up future leaders.
I wholeheartedly support this organization’s mission. The Hopi Foundation is undeniably dedicated to positive outcomes for all.
