I have been supporting The Heroes Project for 6 years, my first event was the 2017 Climb for Heroes. THP is completely transparent as to where the funds go. Whether it is for the expedition of one of the veterans or towards the Veterans Retreat Center, each event highlights exactly where the fundraising is going towards. Team THP could not be more generous and appreciative. Though, as a 3x Highest Fundraiser, my championship belt request has gained no traction. At this point, I would settle for a championship sash. All joking aside, from the bottom of my heart, thank you, Tim, JJ, Stephanie, and Team THP. What you have done for me and more importantly the brave men and women that protect our freedom is remarkable!
Great group of individuals who are working to support our veterans.
Having participated and donated to the last 4 Climb For Heroes events it is always a great experience to meet and talk with participants both Veterans and supporters.
Working with The Heroes Project on their Mt. Baldy Veteran's Hike is the most inspiring day of the year for me. Seeing the dedication and selflessness of the crew makes me beyond grateful to be able to volunteer. Keep up the great work you do and I'll see you on the mountain in November!
I have witnessed the profound impact this organization has had with veterans. The Heroes Project’s mission is honorable and inspiring. Helping vets conquer physical and emotional challenges through mountaineering provides them the tools they need to continue successful lives after devastating injuries.
Volunteers, participants, and donors get the opportunity to interact with and befriend THP staff and the vets they have supported over the years at annual events.
I choose to both donate and volunteer due to THP’s dedication, financial transparency, and their continued commitment to our veterans.
The Hero's hike on Mount Baldy in November is a great way to hang with family while supporting our veterans. The Hero's Project plans on building a retreat center/base camp in Icehouse Canyon for our veterans who have lost limbs and would like to enjoy the outdoors.
I have been a participant in the Climb for Heroes and supporter of The Heroes Project for over four years now. The mission of this nonprofit and the folks leading it are absolutely amazing. During the annual Climb for Heroes, there is nothing more humbling than to look over and see a veteran with prosthetic limbs pushing their way up the mountain beside you. The veterans THP supports are an astounding testament to human perseverance. By providing these brave men and women with a facility for recreational therapy in the mountains, THP is making their lives and the world a better place.
I have been involved with a large amount of charity work in my lifetime and I can wholeheartedly say that THP is one of the best that I have had the privilege to support.
Be part of The Heroes Project as a volunteer or a donor.
There is no better way to thank our military service men and women through community support.
Your donation will help the organization meet their goal to build a facility that all our heroes can benefit from at Mt. Baldy.
Thank you to the entire team that's works so hard to make the heroes dream possible.
Special thanks to all the heroes who continue to live their lives to the fullest.
From a proud American who gives thanks daily to our heroes, support The Heroes Project. ✌️
For the past five years, I have had the honor of volunteering with Hero's Project, an exceptional nonprofit organization that makes the impossible a reality. Hero's Project is dedicated to empowering our injured community through comprehensive physical and emotional training, allowing veterans to explore the farthest reaches of themselves and the world they live in.
The emotional support offered by Hero's Project is just as vital as the physical training. The organization fosters a strong sense of community, where veterans can connect with others who share similar experiences. This camaraderie and mutual support are crucial for emotional healing, providing a network of understanding and encouragement.
Volunteering with Hero's Project has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. I've seen firsthand how the organization empowers veterans to reach beyond their limits and achieve what once seemed impossible. Hero's Project is more than a nonprofit; it is a catalyst for transformation and a beacon of hope for our injured Veteran community.
I am profoundly grateful for the opportunity to be part of Hero's Project and look forward to continuing to support their incredible work. If you are seeking an organization that truly empowers veterans and helps them explore the farthest reaches of their potential, I wholeheartedly recommend Hero's Project.
Looking forward to the many more years Volunteering!

I first became aware of THP in 2017 when I heard about the Climb For Heroes event. I participated then and decided to volunteer for future events. I have volunteered and/or donated most events since. THP is such an important non-profit that truly helps our veterans!
The Heroes Project brings veterans and civilians together for a memorable experience for both! It is a wonderful opportunity for people to connect with vets on a personal level for a worthy cause. I’m excited that THP provides mountaineering opportunities for disabled vets, whom would otherwise never be able to climb both local and world-class peaks! I look forward to The Heroes Project annual Veteran’s Day event every year because I can connect with veterans, and hear their amazing stories. THP is a worthwhile organization, and I support it!
the Heroes Project is an amazing nonprofit that has made a tremendous impact on Veterans of all walks of life by getting them out and reconnecting in a healthy fashion.
The Heroes Project goes above and beyond to support and honor our veterans, providing a unique way, through nature and hiking, of helping those who have bravely served our country. Their dedication and commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of veterans is truly inspiring. With a team of passionate individuals, THP creates a welcoming and supportive community that truly makes a difference. I 100% recommend supporting this outstanding organization.
I have had the privilege working with the Heros Project non-profit organization and participating in the Hike for Heroes event for the past 7 years, and I want to share my experience with you. The Hike for Heroes event is organized by the Hero's Project, this non-profits organization is passionate about supporting veterans and their families. They organize hikes across the world where participants can enjoy nature, connect with other hikers, and raise funds for various causes related to veteran issues.
One of this non-profits supporters who inspired me the most was my husband who recently passed David Rivera. He was dedicated to the Hike for Heroes event and he put in countless hours of training, and fundraising. His father was a veteran and he knew firsthand the challenges that many veterans face. He wanted to do something meaningful to help veterans, and he found his calling in this project.
Through the Heroes Project non-profit organization we managed to raise over $4,000 dollars for the non-profit, which will go towards providing mental health services, education opportunities, and career guidance for veterans and their families. I am so proud of David and his contribution to this noble cause. He is a true hero in my eyes, and I am honored to be his wife.
If you are looking for a way to support veterans and have a great time outdoors, I highly recommend joining the Heroes Project non-profit. You will not regret it!
Sincerely
Dolores Rivera
Volunteering at Climb for Heroes in Mt. Baldy has been a rewarding experience. The Heroes Project's dedication to supporting those who have sacrificed for our benefit is truly inspiring. I hope to continue to volunteer year after year. During uncertain times, having a transparent and trustworthy nonprofit like THP is reassuring. Their commitment to making a difference is commendable & I’m proud to be a part of it! And they are so fun!
The Heroes Project is one of the foundations I wholeheartedly support. Tim Medvetz, the founder of The Heroes Project, has shared his knowledge of climbing with some of our nations severely wounded veterans. Through perseverance, Tim Medvetz has given our veterans hope, knowledge, and tough love to help them overcome obstacles and achieve their goals of climbing some of the world's highest mountains and volcanoes. Over the years, my contribution has been to make quilts for our veterans. Through my gift of quilting, I have made 31 stars flag quilts, representing when California became the 31st State to join this great country. The flag quilts are created and gifted to The Heroes Project to honor either a veteran or one of the highest fundraisers for THP events. The building of the new Veteran's Retreat Center is so monumental as this will allow veterans to spend time at the Retreat Center. Thank you, The Heroes Project and Tim Medvetz, for your dedication to our military veterans!
I began my experience with the Heroes Project in 2016 when I first heard about them and the Climb for Heroes event they do every year in support of our wounded veterans. Since then, I have summited Mt. Baldy 3 times to raise awareness and funds for our veterans. It's a beautiful thing to witness their hard work and how many people show up for the cause. I'm a proud supporter of the Heroes Project and will be for a very long time. I'm looking forward to this year's summit with my team! -Yvonne (Team: HikingOnPurpose)
What a special group of people, working so very hard to support the men and woman that have served our country. It’s truly an amazing event, experiencing all the emotions you can possibly have in one day. I feel very very lucky to be a part of this event.
As a coordinator for my company's volunteer program, I have worked with numerous nonprofits in Southern California for the past few years. The Heroes Project is by far the most fun, inspiring, and personally rewarding nonprofit I have had the pleasure of working with. Their events such as the Climb for Heroes are always full of energy, smiles, and a shared appreciation by all attending of our veterans who inspire us by overcoming the toughest mental and physical battles to inspire us all to climb our own mountains, literally and figuratively. If you haven't had the opportunity to become a part of their mission through volunteering or donating, I highly encourage you to do so!

My experience of the heroes project in 2022 was so powerful and moving that I vowed that I would continue in some capacity to be a part of the project.
The foundation of this nonprofit, their love, respect, and support of these wounded veterans was beautiful to witness.
God bless America and those who support!!
My first time volunteering with the foundation, I was hiking with USMC CPL. CARLOS TORRES on Mt Baldy. We were coming down from the Summit when I slipped and fell a few times. It was then that I realized how difficult it must be for him but not a complaint came from him. I was immediately humbled by this man and vowed to never complain on a trail ever again. This foundation is so great for our veterans, but they give back in ways that can't be measured.
I’ve enjoyed working with the Heroes Project for many reasons. I love that they are helping our veterans and how they have their Climb to the Top fundraiser in Mt Baldy, bringing awareness and a sense of community to our village. They always create a fun and positive atmosphere making fundraising a joy while providing quality prosthetics for veterans.
My family and I got to volunteer at the last event and felt blessed to be a part of such a great day. It was great to talk to all the supporters and meet a couple of the veterans.
I first heard about The Heroes Project when I met Tim over 5 years ago. As the years passed, I learned more and more about what THP stood for and how passionate everyone involved was. It was a no-brainer for me to start volunteering at their annual events, both Cycle for Heroes and Climb for Heroes. I was fortunate enough this year to get my teenage daughter to start volunteering with me, so now it’s a family affair. Each year, I also encourage my friends to volunteer and now we have over 10 girls who volunteer their time at their annual events. It's not often you feel so appreciated for donating your time to an organization. The Heroes Project is one of a kind!

I've been involved with hundreds of non profits over the last 20 years and i can honestly say i don't need to look any further. It has been a pleasure to actually see my financial contributions actually go directly to helping someone and actually making a difference in someones life as opposed to paying someone's salary. The Heroes Project now has a lifetime supporter,Thank You. Bob Simon
