In December of 08 a masseur at Quan Yin named
Samuel Luo injured me so seriously from a massage, that my neck has required surgery,
which has only taken away some of the constant pain.
Samuel applied traction to my neck with a towel, after
stating that he had seen it done before.
The towel was wrapped around my neck and pulled
while griped in front of my ear.
The pain was immediate, and now I have had restricted motion and
constant unrelenting pain from Dec, 08,
Upon obtaining a photo copy of my records from Quan Yin, I
noted that the record of Samuel Luo having massaged me, had
been deleted.
The fact that I hired an attorney and the attorney accepted me as a client
indicates there was an expectation that there was a record of Samuel Luo
having massaged me.
Misha Cohen who is listed as a treasurer for Quan Yin, I found was
posting positive reviews for Quan Yin on Yelp, with out identifying her
relationship with Quan Yin, that was against Yelp's terms of use,
The reviews have since been taken down.
Samuel Luo crippled me.
Samuel Luo continued to work with Quan Yin after Quan Yin was made aware that he injured me.
There is also another report of a serious injuring on Yelp,at Quan Yin.
Even Though masseurs are licensed by the health department
in San Francisco, they do not take any grievance on a masseur.
There is no effective way for a consumer to know that a grievance
had been brought against Samuel Luo and Quan Yin.
The state Consumers Affairs has no mechanism for dealing with this either.
My attorney informed me that Quan Yin did not have insurance covering the
masseurs, though Samuel May have had his own limited insurance.
On Yelp some one also reported being seriously injured, at Quan Yin
I don't know what can be done, perhaps insurance should be required,
or at least the health department should document a grievance, so
that the public at least know that a complaint had been made.
Samuel Luo has condemned me to a life of pain.
