Causes: Community Improvement & Capacity Building
Mission: We believe that empowered community leaders are the most effective and profound force for reshaping our country into a more just, equitable, and humane society. We work with nonprofit & social venture leaders of equity-focused, community-driven organizations to build programs designed to help their organizations grow and deepen their impact.
Programs: Hnc's purpose is to make it easy for students and families to decide what their schools look like. Our center model meets a critical unmet need in the space: to protect great work that's already being done in the community from dying out. We do this by creating makerspaces, writing centers, performing arts centers, etc, in schools - it all depends on what an individual community needs. We are also opening our own high school, which will be opening its doors to students in fall 2019.
