Be very careful with this organization. We are a small all american business in Los Angeles, CA and was hired by Tim Davis at Greatest Generation Foundation and his photographer John Reidy to ship memorabilia to France. Our agreement was for him to be responsible for the taxes and duties for this shipment. We have emailed and called countless times and he refuses to pay nor respond. This is totally unprofessional and should not be representing americans this way.

As a national recognized tax-exempt organization that has been in business for close to two-decades, your shipment and packing company endeavored to collect taxes on a standard FedEx shipment (with zero value) from our organization, well after our freight shipment was paid and sent to Europe. After repeated correspondence with your company along with the freight company, which made it very clear that there were no taxes due on our shipment because it was a personal item that has no value, and it is not a resale site in Europe.

My grandchildren made a donation to honor their 90 year-old great grandfather well before Christmas 2016. He had served as a Seabee on Okinawa during WWII and we thought he would be touched to have his heroic service to our country remembered by three generations of his family. With our online donation we were given the opportunity to electronically submit an enclosure note that would be sent directly to him by TGGF. It is now approaching 4 months since our donation and he has yet to receive the acknowledgment. Our donation, however, was processed within 24 hours. Needless to say, we are extraordinarily disappointed.

My father, 101st Airborne, died in December, and at his request we named The Greatest Generations Foundation for donations in lieu of flowers. TGGF purportedly acknowledges all online donors immediately, and all snail-mail donors by mail, but they would not provide us with a list of donors so that we could also thank them as a family. We contacted TGGF repeatedly by telephone and email, but we didn't get the list of 26 donors until mid-February, nearly 2 months after my father's death. This issue may not be important to every family, but if you're naming them as a memorial donation, please be aware of this administrative issue.

I went to Pearl Harbor with TGGF. Never been back since the war. The professional manner in which the staff had prepared the entire agenda was very special. Experiences we will never forget: returning after 66 years is mind boggling. Being allowed to meet the young military kids and interact was very rewarding. We were honored like real heroes, a very humbling experience. Thanks so much for inviting me to come along.

I went with the foundation to Pearl Harbor last month, and I never thought I'd again be able to set foot on the ship where the surrender was signed. The program is awesome. I would like to see all of the program maintained. I have no doubt that with the help, the attention, the caring and the work of the staff, the work will continue. God Bless you all.

I just returned from Pearl Harbor with TGGF to commemorate the 66th anniversary of the end of World War II. The TGGF staff make a great team, everything was thought of and well planend out, I've never received so much gratitude for my service. The program should be continued to keep telling everyone what we did.

Dear TGGF,

Message: First and foremost, thank you for allowing our students an opportunity to hear from heroes of the Greatest Generation. I heard our students enjoyed a rich and inspiring learning experience at GHS yesterday.

Thank you again for arranging the Veterans visit today -- our Cadets enjoyed meeting the Veterans of Greatest Generation and hearing their "war stories".

TGGF allowed me and ten other WWII veterans travel back to Iwo Jima, to the former battle site where I fought in the war. The experience was truly remarkable and gave me valuable healing and closure. Thank you, TGGF, for the work that you do for all the men and women who have served our country.

No other non-profit organization has ever made a difference in the lives of WWII veterans like TGGF. I have seen both veterans and student participants' lives changed as a result of the trip back to former battle sites. Thank you, TGGF, for your passion in never forgetting these valient heroes or the sacrifices they made.

The journey to Normandy with TGGF was a truly life-changing, unforgettable experience. I now realize a fraction of the true impact that these veterans made not only in Europe, but also in the world. Their sacrifices helped secure the freedoms that I enjoy today and I couldn't be more thankful. Thank you, TGGF, for making this trip a possibility.

Tuesday night moved into my top five. You and your beautiful wife exemplify the true meaning of generosity and devotion. Thank you for sharing The Greatest Generations Foundation and for your passion. You inspired everyone.

I salute The Greatest Generations Foundation for a job well done. We veterans are honored by the name of the Foundation which pays tribute to all WWII veterans. This organization and what it represents instills pride in the 17 million veterans who served and especially to the less than two million yet surviving.

It has been my distinct pleasure to accompany two student/veterans groups back to the fields of battle in Normandy and the Netherlands. In my thirty-five years of experience in higher education, I do not believe I have seen a more exciting educational venture. These students are receiving an education being with these veterans. They have a lot of questions about the war; however, so much of what they are learning are life lessons, that is, lessons in character, perseverance, and integrity. The students come away from this experience with a clearer understanding about the concepts of duty, honor, selflessness, friendship, and love of country. I have heard so many of the veterans say that being around these "kids" have really either helped restore or renew their faith in the younger generation of our country. Thank you for giving all of us the opportunity to be a part of this worthwhile venture, and please know that we stand ready to assist your organization in any way possible.

The mission of The Greatest Generations Foundation is one that I greatly respect. We, as citizens of the United States, owe these men our deepest gratitude. Our freedom came at a great price; thank you, TGGF, for taking the intiative to return a portion of what we owe to these great heroes of our country. Thank you to the donors who mak journeys like this possible. Their funds are not wasted!

I am writing to express my support for The Greatest Generations Foundation. I had the incredible privilege of traveling to Normandy with ten WWII veterans for the 65th anniversary of the D-Day invasion. As that generation of heroes reaches their final years, it is vital that their legacy be passed on to my generation who are so far removed from the kind of horror and desperation that these soldiers experienced during the war. I know of no better way for this transfer of legacy to occur than through the kind of trips that The Greatest Generations Foundation actively organizes and sponsors. I implore anyone who has influence to insure the continuation of these unique journeys to please do so, especially over the course of these next few months and years before the greatest generation is gone forever.

I had the opportunity to participate in the 65th anniversary of D-Day trip to Normandy, France with The Greatest Generations Foundation. It was such an amazing experience and an honor to be able to interace and get to know the ten WWII veterans who we accompanied on the trip. It is important that we not forget these veterans who gave so much not only for the country of France but for America as well.

During the summer of 2009, I was given the opportunity to accompany 10 WWII Veterans back to Europe for the 65th anniversary of D-Day. I was one of 20 college students who took part in this trip. Our goal was simple: to be with these veterans and share in their emotions as they revisited places they fought. We students were able to stand and talk with them as they recounted the horros they experienced. No longer do I view veterans simply as men who served in a far away country. I now view them with utmost respect. It was through The Greatest Generations Foundation that this trip was accomplished. TGGF helped bridge the gap beween those WWII veterans and the students who accompanied them. The trip was a success: not only did we share in their experiences; but more importantly, a bond was created between two very different and distant generations.

Wonderful organization that honors American vets. Our family has supported this organization for the past four years. It is a great place for students to be engaged directly with our military veterans. Sincerely, John and Mary Hensley. Dallas, TX
