The Grace Children's Foundation's mission is compassionate and tremendous. The most vulnerable humans who need help, children trapped in debilitating medical conditions, are often forgotten amongst so many of the world's other misfortunes. The work that TGCF does to help them is so absolutely necessary, and I think it needs to be expanded.
I heard of TGCF as an employee of Microsoft, when they came to Microsoft's HQ in Redmond ask for resources to help their mission. I joined some volunteers in helping create some technological resources to help scale up their operations. As I heard the stories of children who have been helped by TGCF, I wanted to help more and more. This is a common reaction amongst volunteers who work with TGCF's president and staff.
I hope this organization grows and helps even more families who have no idea how to even ask for help.
A Leg To Stand On has been bolstered byThe Grace Children's Foundation's (TGCF) Children's Resource Exchange Center (CREC) in our work on behalf of children in need. They have demonstrated how, by combining our efforts, we can maximize our impact, strengthen the non profit community and most important connect children to the organizations that stand ready to help them. With their upcoming digital platform all of us who are on the frontline will benefit as a community as we continue to exercise our important mandates. Looking forward to coordinating and delivering vital resources through the CREC online platform to increase our outreach on behalf of children in need.
I continue to support this organization as I've seen them facilitate many life changing miracles for children in need. I'm very excited about their current work and know the staff's dedication and partnerships for the CREC will broaden their reach.
So many people are willing to help a good cause when they see one, but don't know where to start. The Grace Children's Foundation helps connect people with different backgrounds and skills - medical professionals with diverse specializations, both in the US and abroad; families willing to host a child; potential donors, and more. All with the goal of serving children whose diseases can be solved once and for all, with the right help.
I believe it's remarkable that the Foundation has been active for about two decades. While so many humanitarian projects come and go, TGCF shows real focus and commitment. At the same time, the Foundation has been able to renew itself and its approach, and is now increasingly leveraging technologies to reduce barriers, act faster and work at scale, thus increasing the number of children it can benefit. Hats off.
The GCF has brilliantly articulated probably one of the greatest roadblocks in getting medical help to the millions of children in need, namely connecting, in a coordinated, efficient way, those children with the resources willing and able to help. It is the creative development of this connective tissue that has and continues to be the primary objective of the Foundation. From the impactful manual network they created (The Children's Resource Exchange Center) to the digital platform they are currently developing in conjunction with the tech industry, the Foundation has never lost focus on its mission: streamlining and coordinating the delivery of pediatric health care to all the children who wait. They are doing important, innovative work and its founder, Nancy Robertson, a true force of nature, is a dynamic and tireless champion of the millions of children in need of medical care.
I have been associated with the Grace Children's Foundation for all of the 20 years it has been in existence. I have seen and experienced the miracles bestowed upon children from all over the world with the help of the Grace Children's Foundation. Hope, healing and love offered by the foundation's unwavering passion for children in need, by providing the connection of their needs to the remedies, both medical and emotional, so important to their futures. Countless children who otherwise would have gone unnoticed and forgotten without the help of TGCF, are now healed and thriving with futures that never seemed possible.
I have witnessed their work first hand and have been in awe of the results of TGCF's love and intervention.
It is more than encouraging to know that The Grace Children's foundation will continue forever and to think of how many more children in need will see and feel their lives changed for the better.
Thank God for people like Nancy and Brooks Robertson, the doctors, the caregivers, and all those who support this most needed, humanitarian effort for the children in need all over the world.
The Grace Children's Foundation/CREC has been a tremendous asset in assisting children who may have otherwise not received care. In 2006, The Grace Children's Foundation provided valuable resource and information to our organization so that together we could bring a child born with a serious genetic disorder from the Philippines to Texas so that this child could receive her life saving surgery. This surgery gave this child a chance at a brighter future. Then in 2016, The Grace Children's Foundation / CREC assisted our organization with bringing an orphan from China to America so that she could be provided with life saving neurosurgical care that was not available in her home country. The CREC was able to help make all of the arrangements and assist with expediting all government requirements to bring the baby to America. Both children were born with severe craniofacial deformities and both children are doing well today thanks to the resource provided by the CREC. This is a worthy organization that connects all the dots in this great big world that we live in. This organization sees all of the children as a whole whether they are from the United States or from the most rural area of a third world country. All children deserve to be treated with dignity and respect and have access to care that they need to survive and thrive. God Bless the Grace Children's Foundation - from all of the children.
The Grace Children's Foundation is doing groundbreaking work helping children across the globe get the life-saving care they need. Through TGCF'S unique platform called the Children Resource Exchange Network, children in need will be connected to doctors who are willing to help them. This digital platform will address many challenges that the victims, medical staff, and others organization face every day in an efficient and effective way. TGCF's team is comprised of hard-working and passionate individuals, and together they will make the world a better place for these children.
I got connected to The Grace Children’s Foundation during my quest to help Syrian refugee children. I quickly fell into love with this wonderful organization as its Founder portrays a sincere passion and undying commitment to better the lives of children in need, all over the world. She is a true visionary who has literally committed her life to saving children.
Among other things, I had the pleasure of working with TGCF’s to help obtain life-saving treatment (cardiac denervation surgery) for a 4 year-old Syrian child in the Zaatari refugee camp in Jordan. The child suffered from a rare cardiac condition called Jervell and Lange-Nielsen Syndrome. This is a genetic life-threatening disorder of the heart’s electrical system, which causes a predisposition to dangerous heart rhythms, causing the child to become deaf and mute and suffer from random seizures and heart failure, which could have taken his life. Thanks to the TGCF’s Children’s Resource Exchange Center, we were able to connect this child to a medical mission in Amman who performed this medical procedure immediately, without which, the child would have surely not made it past his 5th birthday like other family members who died of the same condition.
I look forward to working on future endeavors with TGCF including the soon to be launched pilot program that will start off by connecting 100 Syrian children to the medical care they need.
I’m excited that TGCF’s efforts will be further scaled up through their new innovative CREC app which will connect even more children to the resources they need.
I have volunteered some of my time and skills to this Non-Profit. I was amazed by the spirit and the focus on helping children within the organization. I could see the impact that my work could have in helping the lives of others through the work with the foundation.
The Grace Children's Foundation is highly focused on helping children around the world who otherwise would not have had access to critical medical attention. TGCF's mission is impressive and they work with unrelenting precision to connect children's needs to doctors who are ready to provide help. In a groundbreaking effort, TGCF has elevated its role by engaging and deploying a technological platform (CREC network) to make an even deeper impact in the lives of children. In a world of noteworthy non profits who seek to transform lives of others, TGCF is a results-driven leader who deserves the full measure of support from any individuals or funding organizations who want to see support translate into meaningful action. Their mission is much too vital and critical to ignore.
