Mission: The mission of the goldstock fund is to provide funds to rescue organizations or individuals to help pay for transportation, boarding, evaluations and medical expenses for golden retrievers and golden-hearted dogs taken into rescue. The goldstock fund also provides educational information and materials to rescue organizations and the public. For purposes of grant distributions the fund requires every animal welfare organization to pre-qualify before a grant is authorized or distributed. The fund requests pre-qualifying information including mailing and contact information, business structure, tax exempt status, relationship to other breed clubs, as well as certain policy and operational procedures.
Programs: During 2012 grants were awarded totaling $12,406. The vast majority of the grants were used to help defray extraordinary medical expenses incurred by the various receipients.
