The Glynn Community Crisis Center, Inc. has afforded me, as a survivor of domestic abuse, to give back to my chosen community, through volunteerism by manning the phone at the local house and participating in commorative events and fundrasiers. I have also receive training pertinant to being involved with the domestic crisis communiity. This organization is wholly beneficial to our community and to those affected by domestic abuse.
I donate work as a vendor to Glynn Community Crisis Center because I believe this organization helps victims of domestic violence and their kids get out of abusive situations with dignity. Without them, many would still be in very bad situations. They help people find all the right resources to get back on their feet and be independent.
The Crisis Center is a amazing place, where you can receive the help and the ability to find yourselves. The staff is so ambitious they help you gain the confidence and the will power to accomplish the goals you set. I wouldn’t be the person I am today if it was not for the family I gain at the Crisis Center.
While having the privilege to do some volunteer work at the crisis center, over a course of several days, I was able to see first hand the exceptional care and attention the clients who were there received. Whether it was child care, educational activities, health care, transportation needs or any other questions or issues, it was dealt with using a great amount of knowledge, kindness and professionalism.
