Great organization that puts all funds and efforts towards maintaining and upgrading Bashore Scout Reservation. All volunteer board and membership ensures that all money raised is used for the camp.
The Friends of camp Bashore is a dedicated organization in helping manatain a top notch camp for all scouters of all ages. Over the past 40+ years they have donated countless hours and materials to help build and maintain numerous buildings, program areas, and campsites. Their dedication in helping preserve Camp Bashore will allow all scouts a beautiful place to learn, camp and make life time memories. The membership fee is very low and many of the members have camped at Bashore as a youth and saw their children and now their grandchildren camping and enjoying Camp Bashore. This is why I have been volunteering with the Friends of Camp Bashore for many years because I camped at Bashore as a youth and I watched my son camp many years and now we are both helping and volunteering. The memories of all my time at Camp Bashore will last me a life time and I hope future scouts will have the same chance as I did. I'm glad I said Yes when I was asked to voulunteer.
The Friends of Camp Bashore is a great nonprofit organization designed to help fund and provide helping hands with the many needs of Camp Bashore. Projects range from small items purchased for program areas, to remodeling cabins and buildings around camp, to building new facilities for Bashore. Camp Bashore would not be where it is today with out the help and dedication the Friends of Camp Bashore have provided for many years. It is great to be part of this organization and give back to the camp that gave us so many good experiences and memories as Boy Scouts.
One of the most supportive and boots on the ground support organizations I have ever worked with. I never question my donations
This organization is responsible for saving Camp Bashore from closure over 40 years ago. They raised money, gathered building materials and provided labor to build a new shower house that the Department of Health was requiring. In the years since that they have raised and spent nearly $750k and provided tens of thousands of hours in volunteer labor to maintain and improve the camp. Camp Bashore is celebrating its 75th anniversary this year largely in part because of the FOCB. Thanks is not enough!!!
