Mission: The forte foundation is a consortium of educational institutions, businesses, and not-for-profit organizations. The purpose of the forte foundation is to educate young women about careers in business, positively promote business education for women, and to encourage an increase in the number os women pursuing professional education in business and related fields. Ultimately, the forte foundation's goal is to increase the number of women business owners and business leaders by increasing the number of women in key educational gateways and business networks.
Programs: Each year, the forte foundation offers about two dozen educational and networking events throughout the u. S. , abroad, and online. These events are complimentary to attendees and are paid for by forte sponsors/contributors. These panel discussions provide a forum for women to share real-life experiences about business education and the multitude of career options available to women with business degrees. The largest program service we offer is a series of forte forums in 11 cities across the u. S. This accounts for approximately $100,000 of our annual budgeted expenses. It is supported through revenue paid by exhibitors (schools in attendance).
our second largest program service is an annual conference for mba women to kick off their studies. The conference provides these women with insight into the mba experience, how to successfully navigate the next two years, how to plan for their career post-mba and the opportunity to engage with employers to explore career opportunities. This program requires $100,000 of expenses and is supported through revenue of our annual sponsors and companies attending the career expo.
the c2b conference for college women and the mba launch for pre-mba candidates fall into our third largest program service. Combined, these programs account for $100,000 in program expenses. The revenue for these programs comes from registration fees, corporate sponsorships, and one grant from citi foundation to cover development of a simulation that is used in the c2b conference.
