Would you like to add more music to your life? The Folk Project offers great programs every Friday evening in Morristown (will be celebrating 40 continuous years of acoustic folk music this year) for listening to and often singing along with talented folk musicians. There are also home music parties that provide opportunities to bring your instruments and play along with others. There are Getaway weekends that offer classes, jamming sessions, concerts, and interaction with other music lovers. If you express your love of music through dance, join Swingin’ Tern Contra Dancing throughout the year for lively music and energetic dancing. Come to listen and enjoy, and you may find yourself becoming part of a thriving music community.
The Folk Project, serving Central and Northern New Jersey, provides nonprofit, cultural activities in the fields of music and the folk arts to the general public and to the members of the organization. In the year 2015 we have been recognized as Morris County's Outstanding Arts Organization of the Year!
We have presented a weekly folk music concert series continuously now for forty years, plus many many home music parities, bi-annul folk festivals, monthly contra dances, etc. You name it, we've been doing it, and doing it well.
