Programs: During the fiscal 2017 year, the florida theatre performing arts center, inc. Successfully managed another year of programming and operating the florida theatre, a 1,900 seat circa 1927 historic theatre in downtown jacksonville, florida and listed on the national register of historic places. The florida theatre itself presented 71 programs of music, dance and theatre; co-promoted another 33 programs of music, dance, and theatre; presented 10 film events; and hosted another 59 programs by theatre renters. 40 of these rental events were presented by other nonprofit arts organizations and charitable organizations using the theatre at a subsidized rate. Total attendance at all performances and events was 161,211 people. The economic impact of the forida theatre's activity this year was $13. 9 million, which supported the full time equivalent of 417 jobs, $10 million of household income, $623,000 of local government revenue and $755,000 of state government revenue.
