CCFB is an outstanding orginization that helps serve so many need people within the Greater Phoenix Area. They work day in and out to ensure proper nutrition and healthcare is provided to those most in need. I would highly recommend this orginization to be commended on their service for the people of Phoenix.
As a senior citizen, I come to the cultural cup food bank at least 2x per month.
They have fresh organic vegetables which I love to eat.
The staff is thorough and professional.
The CCFB was there in my time of need. Receiving food boxes allowed us to save what little money we had coming in and helped us get back on our feet.
An amazing place, great hospitality and wonderful service. They treat you like a human being. They help the community and go above and beyond to help more then their community.
The people who work at Cultural Cup Food Bank are also volunteers from the community.
What I like best about CCFB is that they satisfy diverse dietary needs for people with health restrictions.
Sabiha is amazing helping all those who need extra help and especially getting them started and enrolled in AHCCCS. I enjoy working with her as I enroll people in Medicare plans. Everyone I have sent to her has raved about how helpful and caring she is. Cultural Cup is helpful in many ways.
Awesome work done by this org for the community. Keep up the good work
one of the best non profit org i have been part of ...keep up the great job
The Cultural Cup Food Bank staff has taken steps to help those in need regardless of their circumstances. Since Covid closed down most of the resources for struggling families and individuals, CCFB has continued to keep its doors open. When elderly/disabled clients were unable to come to the food bank to apply for Food Stamps, AHCCCS or get a food box, the Director made sure these individuals received service by driving (throughout the Valley) to the clients homes and made sure they received the best possible service.
For the person with a complaint about the food on Jan 11, 2019. They aren't even open on Fridays!
And if the food was that bad, you could have gone to the front desk and complained. They get all the food from SMFBA, so does ICM!!
Review from Guidestar
I WAS AT THE CULTURAL CUP EARLIER TODAY AND I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THE FOOD I RECEIVED, FOR THREE PEOPLE I GOT A BOX WITH BAGS OF SPLIT PEAS , RICE PINTO BEANS, CANS OF CORN, SAUCE AND FRUIT. ALSO A BAG THAT HAD STALE BREAD, BAGELS AND RYE CRACKERS AND 1 CANDY BAR. I DON'T USUALLY COMPLAIN ABOUT FREE FOOD BUT I HAD TO ASK SOMEONE FOR A RIDE TO GET HELP AND BECAUSE I WENT HERE I CAN'T GO TO I.C.M., WHICH SERVES MY ZIP CODE AND GIVES BETTER FOOD BUT IS FURTHER FROM MY RESIDENCE. I THINK THIS IS POORLY RUN AND I AM FEELING ANGRY THAT I CAN'T GO TO ANOTHER FOOD PANTRY OUTSIDE MY ZIP CODE! 85014
The executive director Sabiha is awesome. I have seen her and her staff go out of their way to help someone in need This is not a unique story. This happened on a daily basis while I was volunteering there. In addition, I was a recipient of the food boxes. Even when their funds were low, they stretched their dollar to make it happen and still managed to help the needy in the community! I applaud the Cultural Cup Food Bank and I am now in the position to give back to my community and help the food bank like they helped me when I needed the leg up. I have been donating faithfully since November and I have seen my dollar put to good use by the new programs which they have implemented and the new medical building which they recently acquired. A few years ago one of the doctors saw me for free and even gave me a gift card to get my medication at the pharmacy! Thank you to all the selfless and hardworking staff at Cultural Cup who truly care about the disabled and poor people in the community and who care about our lives! The Muslim community should be proud that they have such an amazing resource in their community!
I went to Cultural Cup Food Bank on a Saturday morning to volunteer. The lady at the desk was very helpful and directed me to the doctor who was taking patients that morning (he runs the clinic). I asked if there was anything she needed. "Doctors," she said. That day I made a resolve to become one.
Hardworking individuals, great initiative, and they are trying to grow and provide better services for the community.
I love this place!!! Employees are very polite. You see lot of teamwork going on. Its very clean, organized and sanitary. The people are very caring and helpful and non judgmental.
Started by someone who once needed assistance herself, this organization not only provides food and clothing donation, but also medical and dental services. Further, they are the only pantry that is sensitive to dietary needs such as kosher and halal. I love that! So proud of this org, hope to see it continue to blossom and grow.
The cultural cup is an amazing organization. The people are always kind and they are never judgmental. You can get food assistance even if you have a dietary restricted diet and they will cater to your needs.
I have used the cultural cup for food and socks and cloths.
I also went when they had volunteer doctors and I had no insurance and needed an inhaler.
They are very helpful and nice.
The Culture Cup Food Bank is a great organization that not only provides meals for the needy but also a medical clinic to assist the community at large. Over the years I have personally observed this organization grow and hope that the future continues to be as bright as the people who work and serve the community via the CCFB!
The Cultural Cup Food Bank is one of the most outstanding charities in Phoenix. Their devotion to community service and will to continue going despite the odds have helped them to succeed where other ventures have failed. They have offered medical care, clothing and food to their participants and provide volunteering opportunities for students and community members.
I worked as a volunteer in the free medical clinic of the Cultural Cup Food Bank. This organization is really making a difference by serving those who cannot afford medical care in the Phoenix area. I did administrative work and assisted doctors in caring for patients. The doctors work for free and provide excellent service. The clinic is very efficiently organized. I really enjoyed my experience as a volunteer. This organization is doing great things.
I have been a volunteer for the CCFB for many years and have watched them help countless people. They help people from all walks of life and every dietary need. Their staff and volunteers are hard working and sensitive. This organization is such a blessing for the entire community.
The Cultural Cup food bank is a wonderful resource in central Phoenix. I have been fortunate enough to have volunteered for and donated to this organization for over 8 years. The volunteers are amazing and truly care about people, and go above and beyond to serve those in need. I used to bring my Girl Scout troop to volunteer on Saturday mornings at their Farmers Markets - what an amazing experience for the girls. CCFB is small with a big impact on the community. They provide a free medical clinic, food, clothing, and are one of very few resources for Muslims to be able to receive halal food which doesn't compromise religious values. I strongly encourage others to help CCFB, as they are positively impacting people every day!
The Cultural Cup Food Bank is an amazing non-profit organization that's been helping the community with food, clothing, etc... for over 10 years. CCFB not only helps people who are homeless, disabled, special needs they also help people who have jobs but are still struggling on a day to day basis. CCFB also helps anyone who cannot afford to go to a medical professional by offering their free clinic to anyone who needs assistance. Not only does the Cultural Cup Food Bank offer assistance to those in need but they also offer the most important thing that a person who is in need and that is being treated as a human being, CCFB has amazing volunteers whom are very courteous, non-judgmental, happy, and amazing friendly
one of best non profit org I have seen or heard of , the volunteers are absolutely are some the finest !!!
For 3 years as a Kindergarten teacher in a local charter school I approached the director of The Cultural Cup Food Bank and asked her if I arranged a weekly food drive for a year would The Cup pick up weekly on a certain day and a certain time? I was told absolutely they would and she was profusely grateful for this idea and wanted to help me bring it about. So flyers went out to parents and teachers taught
units on humanity, giving back to the community and helping those less fortunate. To my amazement the year went by fast with over two thousand pounds of food collected and around $300 in cash donated.
It went better than expected we did it 2 more years before I retired. All I can say is The Cultural Cup's Mission Statement and values are real. They care, and they try their hardest to see to it that the people knocking on their door do not go away hungry wondering where they will find food. If you are reading this and can find it within yourself to favour them with a monetary contribution, rest assured it will get used wisely and trust me, you will feel better for it.
