This place! My son struggled for years. On and off the streets, homeless, couch surfing, job loss, drugs, alcohol, hopeless. My son ended up here almost as a last resort. My husband and I came here from Michigan and met Rob the director who was very helpful and addressed all our questions and concerns. Sean worked closely with our son and was awesome. He referred our son to a recovery program and later helped him find a job. He is sober and employed today. Thank you Christian Center!!

We had a great need to feed students some healthy food. Rich and his organization have help us start a sharing shelf program and feed our school for several months now! We are very grateful and blessed by this food pantry!

The Christian Center is a fantastic community partner who serves those in need and educates the community on resources, partnership opportunities, and ways to get involved. I can’t say enough great things about this ministry, because it’s actually so many different ministries! Fulfilling the physical and spiritual needs of the community through a myriad of impactful programs, The Christian Center authentically lives out Christ’s example every day.
The staff is humble, and always willing to help. They serve great food, and thanks to the meals they serve, I don't have to worry about feeding my family when things get tight.

I never had someone say they were proud of me until I ended up homeless, and staying at the Christian Center. The staff at the Eleos Center have helped me in ways I could not imagine.
I work as part of the Street Outreach Team. They never cancel. Rain or shine. If 2 people show up or 20, you know the Street Team will be out delivering bottles of water, snacks, hygiene kits, etc. while a team of nurses in training led by a RN provide basic wound care. My only regret is that I did not learn about this service sooner.
The staff have truly created a community with the residents. I have volunteered at different shelters around the area, The Christian Center is truly a special place.
You will not find a group of people more committed to their cause than the good people at The Christian Center. From the time you walk in to help until the moment you leave, you can tell they are moving with purpose. They love hard and work hard. It's a great place to serve. I always feel appreciated and like my time matters.
I love working at the Christian Center because every donation of food, clothes, time, etc. goes to good use. Nothing is wasted and you see the immediate impact of your efforts.

A number of years ago I began volunteering at The Christian Center by being part of their weekly Bible study. It then grew into our family volunteering to serve on Thanksgiving and Christmas. The Christian Center does a fantastic job of transitioning the men from homelessness to sustainability with grace, mercy and love. In fact, some of the prior residents have become staff members. The Christian Center has many success stories in the 65 years of existence. Not only is this a homeless shelter for men, it also is a "soup kitchen" for the many hungry people in Madison county. The Red Door and Bella Boutique are the 2 thrift stores where all the proceeds are donated back to The Christian Center.. This ministry has many facets to minister to the disadvantaged. They have always been a great partner to myself and all of the women in which we serve at Willow Place. They truly live out the mission of feeding, clothing, providing shelter, job training, & spiritual connection to anyone that walks into their facility. So thankful to have them in Madison County.
The Christian Center has been one of the most dynamic organizations I have ever had the privilege of working at. The impact the Center has on the lives of those who seek shelter there is astounding. The Christian Center staff is small, but efficient. I can donate to anyone, but I love knowing my money is predominantly going to the front lines to fight hunger and homelessness.
I have seen the programs here impact those in the community. Anderson and Madison County are better places because of The Christian Center. It never hit more close to the home than when a friend was battling his addictions with the assistance of The Christian Center and their partner organizations he has moved in to a better life. It is always a wonderful comfort to know the Christian Center is here for others who seek help.
What an honor and joy it has been to serve in such an amazing organization. The impact being made in our community has been profound. The administration of this organization was ready and able to step up in a mighty way when COVID-19 became a reality. With many other organizations closing and stepping away completely from the community, The Christian Center stepped up and fed hundreds of people every single day. The talented staff and gifted administration worked tirelessly to meet not only the needs of the public, but the safety and concerns of all involved. This organization has been doing great work for a long time, but seeing the response here has made me that much more proud to be a part of it. As the only soup kitchen in Madison County, the Christian Center is committed to serving the hungry. They take great care of their residents and are dedicated to getting men back on their feet. They truly care about those in need.
A great resource for those in a time of need. In addition to housing for men, The Christian Center provides community resources and meals for women and children.
This organization is second to none. They truly do things the right way and it operates like a business - with the "profit" reflected in the number of heads rested, mouths fed, and hearts changed. I'm one of those hearts, and I couldn't be prouder to have The Christian Center in my community.

I have worked with The Christian Center for many years. They are highly effective as they minister to their clients. They frequently go above and beyond as they deal with people. TCC also collaborates frequently with other agencies as they seek to meet the needs of the least of these.
I have served as a volunteer and a board member. It is a Christian based organization that strives to change the lives of homeless men as well as feeding and clothing the hungry and disadvantaged in the community. It is a very fiscally responsible organization.
My family & I began volunteering by serving Thanksgiving dinner when our son was very young (now 30). Since then, we have volunteered in many capacities, made many donations and just engaged with the residents of The Christian Center. This organization touches many lives every day through many resources: a hot meal, clothing, hygiene items or just a listening ear. Also, the thrift store, The Red Door, receives many donations of clothing, household items, furniture, etc. and all proceeds are given back to The Christian Center. It is a great place to shop with a variety of items. I love being a volunteer at The Christian Center in many capacities & will continue to do so. If you have not been a volunteer at the center, please consider to doing so.
I partner with this organization because its ethics are outstanding. TCC serves others in the manner that it says it does: with compassion, with exceptional stewardship, and with an inclusive attitude toward the entire community. Whether the donation is of goods needed to help run such a large organization, of my time to cook/serve/produce something for TCC or of financial resources, I find that the Christian Center is an exceptional steward. Their inner workings are transparent and their reputation is above reproach.
I've been volunteering at The Christian Center in the Chapel for many years and have watched it change and grow in such a remarkable way. I'm deeply humbled by all who work, volunteer and live there and to be a part of this loving, caring family because family is what we are regardless of how long we've been there.
I have watched this organization grow and serve the entire community over the years since I moved to Anderson. I am fortunate enough to be associated with the staff as they work with the neighbors on the street. They serve over 110,000 meals a year to anyone in the community who is in need. They work with men who , for whatever reason, have become homeless and help them learn skills that will enable them to get back their lives in a meaningful way.,,they have a multi level approach that deals with mind , body, and spirit . It is an organization that partners and supports other not for profits in the community so they can all grow and become more than they could if working in their own.
