I became familiar with The Child Center a little over 2 and a half years ago. To better understand what The Child Center was all about, I attended one of their breakfast tours. The facility was warm, welcoming and staffed with some of the strongest and most caring people I have ever met. Since this tour, I have continued to support The Child Center and their mission to help the innocent children victims of all forms of abuse as a volunteer, board member and donor.

I volunteered for this organization for a brief time and I was so impressed with them. They work so hard to help children who are victims and also teach kids how to not become one.

The Child Center has helped so many children and families through the most troubling and traumatic parts of their lives. No one can answer the “why” but they can answer the “what now.” They are the example of what trust and experience looks like.

I’ve always enjoyed supporting local non-profits, especially those that benefit children and families. The Child Center put on a great golf event that I attended recently. The volunteers and board members truly show their love and support for the cause and don’t just ask for handouts. Instead, they demonstrate exactly what your dollars support. Great work! I’m looking forward to the next event!

I have followed The Child Center and their work for a few years. I was so impressed with the mission and concept behind Child Advocacy Centers. I have friends who have experienced abuse and trauma WITHOUT the support of a CAC, so I know what it looks like without places like this. I loved that The Child Center consistently put out great information about child abuse awareness and prevention.

I recently had the opportunity to join the staff at The Child Center and have seen firsthand the day-to-day work of child advocacy. The staff is top notch and truly care about the families we serve. I'm so proud to work for an agency that does such important work at such a high caliber. The lives of thousands of child abuse survivors and their families will forever be changed because of The Child Center reducing trauma, supporting, educating, and helping in the healing journey.

The Child Center has been close to my heart for years.
I will always support them and their mission.
What they do is unimaginable and so very important.
They also do it with such grace and compassion.
It is such a blessing these kids have a safe place, through tragedies.
Thank you for all you do for the children.

BEST KEPT SECRET!!! The Child Center is one of the most impactful organizations for prevention education, support, compassion, and recovery for crimes against children. In working as a police detective for four years I learned the importance of the organization and worked closely with them to seek justice for child victims. Child abuse, both physical and sexual, is investigated through the multidisciplinary taskforce consisting of police, children's division, prosecutors, and the Child Center. I often referred to this type of crime as "a parent's worst nightmare" and unlike other forms of crime, there is no quick fix. The investigation is typically extensive and the prosecution is often a several year journey for the victims and family. The reason I referred to the Child Center as "best-kept secret" is the majority of the population has never heard of them or has but does not know what they do. Those victims and families of child abuse, however, can tell you that the Child Center made the process less intimidating and was there throughout the investigation and beyond to ensure the psychological trauma was also addressed.
In experiencing first hand the impact the Child Center had I became a board member after leaving the detective bureau. My objective is to expand awareness of the Child Center and its role to help ensure its future. Unlike the other members of the multidisciplinary team who are the city, county, and state agencies the Child Center is a not for profit and its existence is dependant upon donations and private funding.

As a survivor of childhood sexual abuse I can personally attest to the fact that the services The Child Center provides are priceless to both victims and their families that are going through an unimaginable and terrifying time in their lives. Going to a warm and inviting atmosphere and being interviewed by TRAINED staff as well as having a therapy dog available when sharing their experiences are just a few of the things that The Child Center provides to families in our community. In addition to helping families in need The Child Center also provides prevention programs to schools and offers therapy to victims and their families. I couldn't be more proud to be associated with an agency and am honored to serve as the President of the Board of Directors. Come in for a tour of the facility and check out our website for more information. www.thechildcenter.com

I was introduced to The Child Center approximately 3 years ago when I visited for a breakfast tour. On that day, I walked out a different person than the person who entered that space for the first time. Not only was the team professional and kind, each one exuded a love for children as well as other members of their team. Over the next year, I made it a mission to help promote the Center and the amazing work they do. In April of 2019, I became a board member. Being on the board provides great insight to the presence of child sexual and physical abuse in the counties the Center serves. Many children have positive life altering experiences as a result of the services The Child Center provides.

I have proudly served on the Board of Directors since 2015 and currently serve as Vice President. I joined the Board after being invited to tour The Child Center by a customer of mine. Following the tour, I was struck by the mission of the agency and the passion of the staff. I asked how I could help and was invited to join the Board and have found it highly rewarding. I find it morally responsible to help this agency fight physical and sexual abuse of the children of our community. Since joining the Board, I have heard countless stories of how the agency has helped our children stop abuse and assist them and their family on the road to recovery. I proudly rate this vital agency 5 stars and strongly urge everyone in our community to assist this agency in the fight against child abuse by coming to events, donating, visiting the agency for a tour, or event consider joining the active Board.
